My RTR started giving me worries. I am hearing always all the times clunky noise when downshifting. Fails neutral is happening very frequently... Does any body faces the same issue?

How Old is your bike ? Completed run-in ? When was the last time you changed the gear oil ? Well,First step is to check the exterior gear lever, make sure they dont rattle. If they arent the problem, unfortunately,You might need to open it up and see.

Sunday i had been to SVC for bike washing and Handle setting as the handle was giving some problem while turning. There i met an Auto Company guy who had come with RTR 200 Fi model with Pirelli tyres Yellow in colour. When i spoke to him, he said this is a pre-production testing bike which is with them for about a year now. But they have ridden it only about 4800 kms so far. I spoke to him about the bike, he said the bike is overall good but has been given electrical problems frequently which is why he frequently send the bike to SVC. After discussion with him, i am thinking that because of this issue TVS is still not launching the FI model in India because the bike is still not problem free. But then how are they exporting the FI model is another question.... ..

Touchwood atleast our crab model is problem free...except few niggles......

Check with SVC might be the gear sensor is giving the problem. This bike has a very notorious gear sensor and chances are very high that the sensor is spoilt.

Gear sensor is also not working properly. It always shows 1 gear as neutral, neutral as 1 gear when the engine is in off. While moving slowly if I pickup speed in higher gear with tight clutch in traffic , the numbers always fluctuates.

Hi I have a matte red color. I wash using 3m car shampoo. After drying bike , I used a drykleen water less car wash spray on the surface and rubbed with microfiber. the red color have deepened after the polish.

So I was riding today night and suddenly the light start to flickr, I stopped the bike turned the ignition off and then the ignition won't turn on. No lights in the speedo nothing. Started the bike by pushing in 2nd gear. The workshops are closed till Monday due to durga puja. Any idea what happened? The bike has only done 635 kms and the 1st service is not done till now.

If you can check battery voltage you can try that.

Check all fuses. You should find the culprit here.

Try to remove, clean and plug in spark plug again. Once you have your electronics working.

Check for any damages caused by rats to wiring. Check if any cables touching and getting damaged by engine heat.

Open the owners manual. You will find all info there. You will get a list of all fuses. Try to check main fuse first. Remove the main fuse, to ensure you don't short circuit anything else. Remember to pull the key out of the bike and work on it.
This way you would cut off all electricity sources to all components and you wont damage anything, even if you do a mistake.
All dependent fuses for indicators should be 5v (Guessing), for console, headlights and taillights, it should be 12V (again guessing). For fuel pump and others, its 5V ( you guessed it right here.)

There will be extra fuses in the fuse box, as per govt rules. If any is blown out, need not worry. You can use those spare ones.
If you find any dead fuses, and after replacing, try to procure ORIGINAL new fuses and store them in the same fuse box, for future emergency use.

Update us with the results. If it is fuse, you need not go to svc. if it didnt solve the problem, i think, you will have to go to svc for a proper checkup. Btw, did you ride in heavy rains recently?

I did as you said but no luck. There were two fuses one 10v and other 15v. Replaced both of them but still nothing happened. Will have to take the bike to the workshop on Monday. Anyway thanks a lot man. You taught me something valuable today that could help me in an emergency. My guess, maybe the battery is dead.
