The problem doesn't seem to end for me. Now when the bike is engaged in any gear it refuses to start even with the clutch pulled, but in neutral the bike starts without any hassle. Any idea what is causing this? The workshops are closed till Monday due to diwali.
There is a problem with a switch inside clutch lever. You will need to get the lever replaced. Costs nearly 300 bucks.
Thanks man, but my bike is new only done 1350kms. I think should be replaced for free.
I agree with you, and had same thought in mind when I got my bike's clutch lever changed. However Svc said that it is a matter of wear and tear and doesn't comes under warranty. I was quite surprised but was in a hurry, so got it changed for 250(without any bill).

Yes, the bike wouldn't start in any gear but neutral. To make the matter worse, the gear sensor also went kaput forcing me to get the lever changed urgently.

Dude you don't need to pay a single penny. If they ask you to then contact the TVS customer care in front of them and ask them about the low quality parts be used in the bike by TVS and emphasize your low running. Also if you don't trust the center then make sure they replace the past in front of you.
So, I have finally managed to get rid of the spongy feeling /inadequate bite thanks to my trusted local mechanic earlier today. I have basically given up on the SVC as they are clueless and frustrating.
The culprit was the piston assembly in the master cylinder which pumps the brake oil into the line. Everything else is working perfectly. Upon inspecting the piston assembly, it was clear that springs had recessed and were no longer strong enough to pump the brake oil properly. Also noticed were scratches the improper piston had caused on the walls of the cylinder shaft and it required polishing.
Instead of using a stock piston as replacement (approx. Rs. 300), my mechanic used one which comes as stock on Honda Hornet (approx Rs500). It's a perfect fit and the braking performance is now better than it has ever been on my RTR. Thank **** for that! I have also replaced the Dot3 fluid with Dot4 type.
On a bike so well put together, I wonder why TVS chose to cut corners on the braking unit of all things. The unit is being sourced from some obscure Chinese manufacturer it seems (I noticed some chinese markings inside the master cylinder. Hope they don't do that on more advanced bikes like the Akula.
Dude could you please post a few pics at your convenience so that guys like me can understand. I am quite interested to see where the issue was.

Today morning I just increased the freeplay of the clutch a bit and the problem doesn't seem to exist anymore. Working perfectly fine since the morning.
Thanks! Hopefully that'll help in fixing this major issue. I wish TVS just went mainstream and used the Bybre setups every one else seems to be using.
Do you think TVS would have fixed this in the current batches. I am planning on buying one in the coming weeks and hoping I won't face such issues. TVS has had more than a years time to iron out all the major issues and I hope they have done it.

I would hope so too. They seem to have ironed out most of the niggles. However, only a week ago the SVC told me they don't have a 'fix' for the braking issue. So I would assume it's not been looked at in the latest batches.
Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
