      Need urgent help,
I have lost my service manual, tried hard to find but no luck. Also, since I have relocated to different part of the city, I did my last service from a dealer other than one I have purchased my rtr from. How do I get the next free service done or the service manual. I still have 2 free services left. 😢

      Thanks in advance.
      Race ON!

Hi guys. I lost one of my original RTR 200 original key and I have only one key now. I want to duplicate my key. I have visited 5 shops here in Chennai. But none of the locksmith is able to duplicate it. They said they don't have blank keys for RTR 200 and they are not able to get it as well. Service center suggests me to replace entire set. Can any one help me where I can get blank keys either offline or online? If offline suggest me stores in bangaluru or Chennai.

These type of keys r made to avoid duplication. So u cant duplicate it. Either stay with single key or change the lock set.

          • TVS Apache 200

            Hi Guys,

I have recently bought new TVS Apache 200. I really liked the bike in the test drive. I have just done its 1st servicing and now facing some issues with vibes on 5th gear just at 55 km/h on the left side of the bike, particularly footpeg.

I have gone to the service center and they are saying this must be the issue of chain setting but still yet the issue has not resolved.

            Can you help me, guys?

            Regards,
            Nandan

Finally got the white rtr 200 today. It sounds awesome on startup. But I faced one issue while I was coming home from the showroom. When I press clutch during riding to shift gear, the rpm automatically increases to around 3k.I stopped but it was still at 3k and it sounds like I am turning the race lever. What should I do?

Hi, can any owners from Cochin shed some light on the service center here. I have read a lot of google reviews and all of them are making me vary of going for an Apache in Cochin. Might have to shift to the Fz 25 solely for better service and availability of more than one dealer and service center options. Any general advice is also appreciated, since I need a bike ASAP and should finalize and book one.

Go for the bike which has a good service centre in your area else your money will be wasted and you will be frustrated every time you get your bike serviced and if the service centre is not capable it might end up ruining your bike so go with the one which has better service support in your area. I can't say about Cochin service centre but I think you should talk to any person on apache if you can and tell them you are thinking to purchase the bike and how is the service centre experience and you should ask from as many as you can I would have done the same if I were in your place.
                  Cheers

I have one more doubt. Do the headlamp on rtr 200 turn off automatically during daytime? While I was going to office tody in the morning, I noticed that the headlamps were still on.

I dont think so. Its a AHO unit meaning headlights on all time.

BSIV two Wheeler have AHO which means the headlamp will not switch off till the bulb gets fused it remains on all time.

I thought AHO means headlamp will automatically turn on and off during night and day time respectively. It feels weird to be riding with headlamps on. Onlookers might think that I forgot to turn off the light and they signal me to turn it off. Why do they keep headlmps on at all times? DRLs are already there which remains on full time.

It works that way and it does not have any sensor so that the light will switch on or off so we have to live with it but if you want you can add an switch so that you can switch on or off but the warranty may get void.

Yeah, I randomly spoke to one guy in office who was sitting on an old 160. But sadly he just bought a second hand and doesn't have a first hand experience of the service center yet. And apaches are a rarity here from what I see. Fz seems to be more common. Might have to go for it, but it just doesn't give me the joy or connect an RTR does. Its might have to be a mind over heart decision.
