Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
One more question folks.
Since getting my bike on Saturday (3 days ago), the idle rpm has been around 1600 or so (without choke)
After a 20km ride today and when I was about to get off my bike, I observed the idle rpm was around 3000 and the engine felt really hot. Is this normal?
I'm getting really worried after getting all these issues within just a couple of days of purchase [emoji27]

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Dude chill... The ideal rpm of the bike should be between 1200 to 1400k urs is slightly high.. need a little adjustment there..& remember one thing its a summer season & ur bike's engine is brand new... Its will heat up, for new engines these things are normal nothing to worry abt complete ur 1st servicing & follow the break-in period properly everything will be fine.

[Latest Updates, since I went to ASC]
Stating from Morning, Bike started after applied Choke. While going (on the way), constantly heard squeaky sound from rear (not sure exactly, from where). Once reached ASC, the same person (dealer cum branch manager) I met, he greeted beautifully, and in-return I explained him my concerns. They took my HULK to workshop, took in and around 10 mins.
Engaged service person - What he did?- He just sprayed and lubed the Chain and settled the Idle Rpm to 1500 (say-according to TVS Standard).
Few Suggestion from ASC Service Person:
1. Always start the Bike in Morning, only after applying the Choke.
2. Frequently not to wash the Bike.
3. Always turn-off the Fuel knob, at the end of the day. (If not - Possibility is passing of Air Bubble or too much in-take of fuel by engine)
4. Follow the manual properly.

Its written in Manuals to always start the bike morning and/or after a long halt by applying choke. Its always good to use. Turning off the Fuel knob is about developing the habit for the same. I do it everyday as that habit i developed from my last bike Pulsar which i used. Nothing as such for Air Bubble reason but just got that habit developed.
I always Turn off the Fuel knob at every long halt and switching off the lights everytime before starting the bike.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
I had posted the same query to TVS's Twitter handle, and their CC called me regarding the same. The lady told me that next month CARB +ABS is coming out for sure (dates not known). And by September FI+ ABS will be out.. September is way too late, need to get one before end of next monthOriginally posted by deepu997 View Post. Installed IND plates today. Totally agree with you here.Originally posted by ALI.R View PostGot them number plates punched in today.
Just like my previous motorcycle, the FZ16, the front holder is located at a truly awful point. Totally ruins the marvellous looking headlamp setup. I noticed that the number plate is now covering the top ends of the DRLs. 😬😬😬.
I was wondering how legal is it to have the number stickered into the front mudguard? I see a lot of people doing that now.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
My rtr had been in the workshop for a month as I had met with an accident on it. Today I received my bike back and I noticed that the fuel and gear indicators were not working and the speedo was displaying the message to check gear and fuel sensors. The service guy told me that it's due to the vehicle sitting stationary for almost a month and it will be fixed after riding 10kms or so. So far i have covered around 60kms and the problem still persists. All the sensors were working fine after the crash and before taking it to the service center. Anyone have any idea as what could be the problem or will it fix itself?

That's a farce statement to reckon with. This leaves me with the following disposition, either the sensor wires have not not socketed in properly or the there is a fault in the sensor themselves. To check the fuel gauge, check if the sensor wire from tank to the wiring bung is connected. Also, check underneath of the tank near the carb and check for any connectors that aren't socketed in properly. It's mostly a poor workmanship from the service center side. I highly doubt any sensor kamikaze. Check the wiring, connectors.Originally posted by mzon View PostMy rtr had been in the workshop for a month as I had met with an accident on it. Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END
