[emoji38] [emoji38] [emoji38] [emoji38] [emoji38]. Totally. They are the bottom scrapers of our automotive media industry. They can take their drag races /wheelies and disappear to where the sun don't shine.

Like someone here mentioned even i went ahead and got the gear indicator changed under warranty. But i noticed recently that the technician has increased the play of the chain a little bit more than i would like.

I attempted to tighten the chain and then realized that i dont exactly know how to tighten the chain for this type. It looks to be slightly different from those in pulsars that I am used to.

Can someone post a video of the same if you know or give me a short description (P.S The manual is really unhelpful in this regard. Basically asks us to go to the SVC. No way I am doing that)
You can check it out on you tube about chain adjustment , the honda and other big bikes have the setup for chain adjustments. I think there is a xBhpian's video about it

          • Bike not starting (new rtr 200)

Hey guys... I have bought a new rtr 200 on 14th of april. I've ridden almost 700 kms so far. Today on my way back to home my bike started to behave abnormally and it was jerking continuously(just like when fuel is low) . So I had to stop the bike and then put it to reserve(although it have almost 3-4 litres of fuel). But the bike didn't start and I had to push it to home. Fuel is not the issue, and the local mechanic told me that it may have had a short circuit in the electrical circuitry(CDI or something he named it). Now what should I do? Also he told me that I will not be getting any warranty as it is a defective electrical device and it will cost around 4000-5000 rs.
            Please help me.

Hey bro its a smooth bike to ride. I've clocked highest speed of 94 kms (after the first service) and it was not straining the engine. I feel that a 6th gear would have made this bike perfect.

What kind of bull is that where we purchase a brand new vehicle and the parts which fail are out of warranty?

Send an email to customer care of TVS mentioning the technician name and SVC, and what they told you. Threaten to go to consumer court. Be polite, but firm.

Sad to note you having a major issue already. Nobody else on the forum seems to have had electrical issues on the motorcycle yet.

However, it's complete bullshit from the mechanic that the defective part is not covered under warranty. You said it's a local mechanic and I think he is trying to make some money on the sly by making you buy a new CDI or something. Just visit the authorised TVS workshop and get the issue rectified under warranty. As you have completed 700kms already, first service is due and you would need to visit the workshop anyway.

Air lock! Go to svc, they'll fix it in 5 mins. Happened to save your bike. Also we have IDI. Not CDI.
