Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
My SVC indicated that the cost will be between 8-9 grand. It's the same unit as the one on the RTR 180 and the mounting points are already there on the two discs and the console of our RTR200s. The thing is, it can already be fitted by the SVC but until they have the go ahead from the TVS, they can't. This is the indication I got.Originally posted by tanishq View Posti don't think abs Will be retrofitted & even if they do offer such kind of thing.. the pricing will be too much
On a different note, I am getting a slightly annoying squeaking sound from my rear wheel. I noticed it while riding at slow speeds. Then to check further, I put it on the main stand and engaged 1st gear, clearly there a squeak every time the wheel completes one rotation. Could it be from the disc? It is something I should be concerned about?

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
I read some article long time back.. (forgot the article name) in which its stated that rtr200 is having the 6 or 8 internal axis measurement in abs Which is found in the high end bikes not sure though how true these info are... we will get know only when tvs will launch the abs version of rtr200..Originally posted by ALI.R View PostMy SVC indicated that the cost will be between 8-9 grand. For that squeaking i would suggest u to wash the bike & check after that... sometimes there are some dust particles settled on wheel axle which causes these kind of sound.Last edited by tanishq; 04-24-2017, 05:49 AM.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Hi ankur, please find my reply in bold.
Regarding your test ride experience, you can try some other showroom if these ppl do not co-operate.Originally posted by ankurjain View PostCongratulations buddy !!
I had few questions:
1) How is the riding posture ? Slightly fwd like Pulsar 220 ? Or upright like Gixxer 155 ?
I don't know about P220 but the riding posture is sportier than gixxer. It is upright but slightly sporty. Its not extreme as rtr 180 or similar either. Its perfect IMO.
2) How is the cluth ? Light or tight ? My P-220 is very tight and difficult to operate in traffic. Looking for a light cluth bike next.
It's on the lighter side
3) How are the Rear Shockers ? Damping is good ?
It is properly balanced for both worlds.
4) How much is the maintenance cost ( svcng etc ) ? Any major/teething problems ?
I have completed 10250+ kms and no major problems. Maintenance cost is economical for this performance range.
5) Does the dust on chain causes problem like vibrations, hard gear shifts etc ? Is the chain O-ring type on Apache 200 ? I ask this because on P-220 2 days after svc the gear shifts become hard and bike becomes less smooth. Svc people say that's due to the chain.
I don't know how it would cause vibrations and hard gear shifts on a bike. But I can say that i have not faced any such issues. I lube my chain every 500-650 kms once.
6) Are the electricals DC like pulsars ? I ask this because on other bikes the light intensity becomes low when throttle is less like in older Apache 180.
Yap, it is DC.
I requested a test drive by putting query on TVS website and requested for sending the query to Avian TVS Vadodara.
They give very stupid replies like we don't give test ride as we don't have test vehicle. They had a showroom piece and they took it out for test ride. We went for 50 mts may be and the showroom guy asked me to turn the bike back ( What the .... ) I thought may be because fuel is less and bike is jerking he is asking to turn it back.
On further enquiry they told that if you book the bike we give test ride ( but we take test rides before booking the bike plus now what happened to unregistered bike offered for TD !!!! ). Finally they told they had an incident some time back when a customer met with accident and did not pay up and even was not carrying the license. So they stopped al together the TD ( bunch of crap ).
I also called up customer care from outside the showroom to ask what is this and he gave me the phone number of person responsible to manage this area and he did not pick the call.
I am thinking to mail TVS customer care complaining about these guys.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
The squeaky sound in there on my bike too but I found its coming from the rear wheel /disc. Will wash it properly and if still doesn't go away will visit the SVC.Originally posted by Monish Bakre View Post2nd service

No other problems yet apart from the the neutral gear indicator bug which keeps happening every now and then.
