Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Don’t worry. It won’t do any potential harm. Change the grade in next oil change and don’t ride the bike hard until the engine gets warm up.Originally posted by Krishna85000 View PostPlease provide me with solution as I replaced oil yesterday and bike didn't run 20kms after oil change. Thank you

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
My best was 47kmpl when I got the bike from showroom. Worst was 37kmpl. I dont know about lean carb. I will ask svc to have a check. I have never gone beyond 6k rpm and I am not an aggresive rider. No sudden pickup or braking. So might be bcoz of that I am achieving these numbers.Originally posted by ayrus View PostThis is unrealistic mileage in city conditions with a properly tuned carburetor, especially considering your mentioned RPM. There is a strong chance that you're running on a lean carb. [The bike is tuned slightly right out of the factory]Highway mileage is ~40kmpl when cruising at 80-90kmph. In city conditions, expect 35-40kmpl depending on the riding style and riding conditions.
My best is 42+kmpl with a lean carb and 4-5k RPM. The worst is 31kmpl.

I dont know what they did. Actually sometimes I am facing cold start issues again especially in the morning when the bike was idle for around 8hrs overnight. Earlier I was facing this issue frequently when the bike was isle for 4-5hrs which is gone now.Originally posted by salman97 View PostWhat exactly did your SVC do to solve the cold start issue? I've complained twice about it to mine but I was told nothing could be done about it. I live in Bangalore too so maybe I could visit the same SVC as yours.
Gear sensors are still giving issues.
I had visited Arunagiri SVC kalyan Nagar. You can contact +918667242898 for svc booking and help as the service center management is pathetic. I had complained to head office about them.
Also, need help about complaining about stickers. Any help on this issue will be appreciated.

Within 2 months, I have clocked 3000+ kms. Does it affect the engine??Originally posted by imashish2789 View PostDear Members,
I had purchased 200 RTR ABS Race Edition 2.0 Black Color on 26/11/2018 in Bangalore.
Issues that can be solved:
1. COLD START: This issue got resolved in the 2nd Service. I just informed about this to the service guy and he resolved it.
2. GEAR SHIFT Sound: Gear might be hard. Ask the service guy, they will solve it.
Issues I am facing now and NEED HELP:
1. Stickers are bad. Within 2 months of daily commuting, the stickers are coming off now. Showroom guys are not helpful as they said there is no stickers available. Need Help for complaining or replacing the stickers.
Questions:
1. How to save tank from the scratches? Willing to go for a matte black vinyl wrap. Suggestions please.
2. Any good shops in Bangalore for the Accessories? Need to change the visor with a bigger one.
About Bike:
Amazing machine with great engine response. Completed 2900 kms till date.

With Shell Normal petrol, I got 41.6kmpl and with IOCL Normal petrol, I got 39.8kmpl in Bangalore. I am using Indian Oil now.
What type of Aux light can I use? My friend suggest to use Ktm projectors as aux. It looks cool but not sure bcoz they are of 35W i believe.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Congrats for the 28500kms bro. Afaik, the Karizma and Ninja (Ninja 300 I guess) brakes pads are interchangable with the Apaches but I do not know about their effectiveness compared to the stock brake pads.Originally posted by rsree View PostHey, Need Help Guys..
My bike has run 28500 km's - Aug 2017 BS4 Model, Facing LOW Brake Fluid since last 1 week.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
I've bought TVS Apache RTR 200 4v Race Edition 2.0 ABS, two weeks back.
I took my time to read through the entire thread from Page 1 and got my self familiar with the vehicle, Thanks everyone for sharing their knowledge on this.
Bike is exceptional, It lets me to have fun.
I was once Yamaha boy, who had the 'FUN' with the bike, with it's exceptional handling ability and throttle response.
Due to some accidents, I was forced by my family to sell my bike and get a commuter one, that won't go past 50kmph.
I rode the commuter for 5 long years, and it made me to use the bike only for transportation and nothing else, and I almost lost the love for biking.
Then came Apache 200, Truly I didn't expect anything out of the bike except it's Dual channel ABS capabilities, As I become commuter myself in these 5 years.
And I ride the apache just like how I ride my commuter (without any soulful connection) without any fun, just transporting to office and home henceforth.
One day, a guy overtook me on road with a scooty pep, (even though I ride commuter I won't let a scooter to overtake me, that 'Biker' part was still living inside me with just that one aspect), then came my ego, I opened the throttle of Apache for the first time, WOW!!! That's it!! The Biker soul completely taken over me all again!
I clocked 105kmph that time, before my mind told me to stop stressing the new engine.
Afterwards, here I am, started to have 'FUN' in my bike again, still I don't clock upwards of 60. I set myself the top speed limit as 60 and still having the fun in my apache.
I ride in the complete B2B traffic in OMR, Chennai. Still this B2B traffic is what made my adrenaline to pump, and which fed my Biker soul long back.
There's a kick in ridding fast in B2B traffic, overtaking all slow moving traffic, and Whiz pas them, by making your body move, turning like crazy.
All those are back, I'm all smiles when I'm on the move on my bike. Now eagerly waiting for the first service and to complete my run-in period, to use the bike to it's full potential.
I have followed the video by Sportztourer for cleaning and lubing the chain, when I sprayed diesel for cleaning (while engaged on first gear), the grease liquid that comes from the chain, gets thrown on the rear disk, which I didn't notice at that time, And experienced when I rode next day, the rear brake was almost does not exist. I had to rub cotton cloth repeatedly on the rear disk to remove the grease. Is there any better way to clean the chain without running? Or how to avoid this scenario?Last edited by Arunachalam; 02-05-2019, 04:18 PM.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
The RTR pads have less life compared to the ZMA's pads when used on a ZMA, but for 280/- they're definitely a bang for the buck.Originally posted by ayrus View PostI tag @ashwinprakas and @Divya Sharan to clarify about the braking power of these brake pads.
Id choose RTR pads over the ZMA pads.Motorcycling Experience:
