I have never tried that on my old bike as well. Can i do the adjustment or should I take it to SVC?

Go to the left side of the bike, AFR screw will be on the carburettor. Turn it 90°-180° counter-clockwise (Remember/note down here how much you turn. It is very important). See how the bike behaves. If you don't like it, revert back to the initial setting.

90°-180° is from the current postition; not from the fully closed postition.

If you need any help, ask me. I'll send pics.

This bike has got a fuel screw. So, the more you open it (counter-clockwise), the richer it becomes. It has got a Keihin CV30VE carb.

Hi guys, I'm planning to own my first motorcycle and currently decided to go for the Apache 200 4v.
The showroom people said that the Apache 200 4v Race Edition 2.0 comes with carburettor+abs and is not available with fi+abs. Is it true?
Also I read the previous threads which said the pros and cons of carb and fi respectively but can you guys give a conclusion about it. Please help.

Yeah, TVS seems to have restricted the fi+abs combo to maintain the premium image of rr310. Don't see any compelling reason to get the fi by loosing out on ABS personally.

When I did not receive a call for two days, I called them up & asked about the payment. The manager told me the bike has not been allocated. I told him about my conversation with the salesman & he apologised. The salesman had also committed that he will deliver the bike in 15 working days with RTO registration. But, now I learned that the bike is not in stock.

I would like to know experiences of guys from Mumbai with Hare Krishna dealership. I am in half a mind to cancel the booking and get one from another dealer.

If someone can also enlighten me about the process if delivery, it will be great. Can I check the bike before making the balance payment or I can only do it when I collect it with number plate? Sorry if this seems like a lame question but this is only my second bike & I did not even collect my first one.

Also, what is the status of RTR 200 4v 2.0 in Mumbai? Is there a waiting period?
I am finally getting the delivery of my bike tomorrow albeit with a TC number. Just want to know how many kilometres can I expect to be clocked on the odometer. The dealer is going to bring the bike (after PDI) from his workshop in Charkop in Mumbai to the showroom in Goregaon West. In my opinion, it should not be more than 20 odd kilometres factoring in the testing of the bike.

Hi I just want to know the cost of spare parts for TVS apache RTR 200 in general. Is it higher than honda and yamaha's? One mechanic told me that the spare part cost is high for TVS. And how is the price and quality of RTR 200 spare parts when compared to Bajaj Pulsar's?

Got the delivery of my bike today. Rode a few kilometres from the showroom to my home.

                            First impression:

                            1) I had read that the suspension is softer than Dominar. However, it seemed stiffer than Dominar to me. But the Dominar I rode was well used. Hence, hoping the suspension will soften over time.
                            2) No major difference from my 150cc CBX Xtreme. But that may be due to the fact that I was riding in a subdued manner never going beyond 5k rpm.
                            3) Handling is good. It will be more evident when I ride freely.

Congrats on your new bike. The suspension will soften over time. If not, it can be adjusted to a softer setting. You will notice improvement in performance after run in period.

yaa i used the motul chain lube after first service (odo 1700km) ...the tvs service guys lubricated my chain in first service and charged me 70 rupees ....so i decided to lube my chain on my own so i bought a motul chain spray....when my bike reached the 1700 km my chain becomes completely dry ....then i started to clean my bike chain with diesel and left the chain to dry completely from diesel because the remaining diesel in chain may affect my chain lubrication because it act as a degreasing agent .....and after some hours i wiped out the chain with a clean cloth and i used the motul chain spray .... trust me bro there is a noticeable improvement in smoothness and pickup of the bike.....it good to use diesel to clean the chain before using chain lube for better result
