Guys need a help, i am not confortable with the bike suspensions. Its making me to pop me out of the seat, when driving through small pit holes / speed breakers etc. What could be the solution for this.

Also, i am due for my 6th paid service, and my left front shocks oil seal is leaking. Does the oil seal replacement cost comes under paid service cost, or as a additional cost. Also the paid service cost is rs 650/-. Is it same across ???.

    Total bill is rs 1600/-
Looks like the service guys will service the bike only during the paid service.
They simply do water wash / oil change for the service.

Gear sensor issue / front sprocket changed under warranty.

Total bill is 1818. One question here is, why cant the service people do the disk pad clean in the general service labour, and they charge rs 270/- seperately.

That’s how they survive. I stopped giving them since third service. I’m doing it my self. I even doubt they are replacing the engine oil. I came to know from a guy who’s owning a workshop regularly who buy oil from a authorised service center mechanic at a very low price. The fact is he won’t replace the engine oil if it’s in fair condition but it’s included in the bill.

        Hello everyone.
So I just sold my 10 year old Hunk and I'm looking to upgrade to a more powerful bike. Budget is 1.1 Lac but can be stretched +20k.
My option are as below. Serially with respect to preference:
        1. Apache RTR 200
        2. NS 200
        3. FZ25
My intial requirement is power and mileage should be atleast 40 or more.
I really like apache but whats holding me back is the average of 32-35 kmpl. My question is if I ride around 60-70 kmph can I get around 40+ kmpl, if no then which bike should I get.

If you are expecting a good mileage(close to 40kmpl), I would suggest not getting the Apache, but I see it, you are trying to get over the mileage 'con' of the Apache. Experts say that one should not make a buying decision based on mileage.

From the three mentioned and with mileage constraints, I personally would go with FZ25 as a complete package. But the cons include quality issues and no abs option. But the engine alone of the FZ25 is worth a lac I'd say. Also, FI on the yamaha promises an affordable fuel economy.

The NS is a good option but I simply look over it for the comfort and the feel FZ has on offer.

Hope this helps you make a clearer decision.

Yes you’ll get more than 40 if you keep the speeds below 80kmph. I got 52kmpl when I rode at 55-60kmph in highway and 42kmpl while riding around 80-90kmph. To be noted I rode with a very gentle throttle inputs. In city with a gentle riding it could give a bit above 35kmpl.
With your short list, you can go for apache for it’s nimble handling, ride quality, refinement and user friendliness. But you won’t get outright performance like ns200. Fz250 has a better straight line stability, higher bottom end torque, much refined engine and gearbox.

Why am I not getting a good mileage on my rtr 200? Some people here posted that they get mileage of around 40. But I get mileage of 30-35kmpl. Mostly I get mileage around 35 +/- 1. I drive in city only mostly around 60kmph. Only sometimes I accelerate the bike hard.

Mileage depends on the rider, bike condition, environmental factors and traffic.

I get 38-40kmpl on my gixxer while my friend managed to get 51kmpl on the same route.

Most people would get around 35-40kmpl on the 200-250cc bikes.

It’s normal for city riding conditions. In city we face frequent ups and downs in speeds. It’s not possible to ride super lean in city conditions and moreover it’s a 200cc motorcycle bro and another fact is these motorcycles are not meant to ride slow[emoji6]

Mileage of 40+ is a tough ask for a 200+cc bike in city conditions. Not many people get this figure.

For a mileage of 40+kmpl you can get the Hornet/gixxer/NS160/FZ16 (the 150ccs).

On Highway rides when I am doing constant 100 and above, I get a measely 25 kmpl. Same route, it was raining at night and had to keep speed about 70, I got 35+. City is about 30 + for me. I do not drive rash, but doesn't mean I like going slow either.

I am actually planning to buy a R15 to do these speedy highway runs and yet get extremely decent mileage.

Being gentle only gave me 35 kmpl, so I thought might as be hard on the bike and get 30 kmpl. At least I get to have fun.

OT: How much did the old Hunk went away for?

Topic: Mileage & power etc. Go with FZ25. Some are claiming 42 to 45 Kmpl depending on riding. And for spirit riding u can expect 35 to 38 kmpl.

My hunk was 2008 model and 60k on the odo. I sold it for 26k. (A bit low especially the way I maintained it)
I also like fz25 but the OTR is 1.4 Lac and at that cost I start considering the dominar. Really confused, the indian market is full of good bikes and to select one is really difficult.
I will mostly use this bike for weekend trips especially on empty roads. The lack of sixth gear and top end on rtr makes me consider NS200. I have test ridden both ns200 and apache 200, and the later has amazing low end and I couldnt test the top end of NS.
Can you guys confirm if rtr will be suitable for weekend highway trips as compared to ns200. (will be cruising around 100 kmph)
I will be keeping this bike for a very long time so durability is very important, thats where I feel apache is better as compared to ns200.
So confused, wish I could get both.

The bike does 100-110 kmph all day without breaking a sweat. I did 220 kms ride in 2.30 minutes non stop, shows how good the bike is. But mind you, there will be vibes post 110kmph. Can't talk for the NS, as I have never ridden one. Anyway the rtr200 won't disappoint you on the highways except maybe the wind blast.

Ns is better on highways. It has a good high end performance and also do above 120 with ease. That you can’t expect in rtr200. RTR start loses its juice after 120 but it can effortlessly cruise up to 110. And also the 6th gear helps to cruise effortlessly at high speeds. More over the high speed stability, gear shift quality and braking is better in ns. RTR has better engine refinement and nimble handling which suits better in city. I had the very first ns and now I’m having Rtr200. I rode both the bikes to it’s extreme. So if you are very much concerned about refinement, build quality and handling go for apache and it won’t disappoint you much. But for your above mentioned requirements I suggest you NS it’s an outright performer.
