Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
In bhopal MP I'm also about to buy the carb model 2.0. The dealer is ready to deliver all variants of 2.0 with advance booking. Only carb model is available without booking for other models he is asking me to make advance booking and will deliver by the end of this month.Originally posted by surya prakash eddy View PostThanks bro. I enquired with them. They say they have no idea about version 2.0 with abs. He said they have old version with abs with one day delivery. They quoted 1.37k for for old version abs. He said it would take more than an year as they didn't hear from the company about the same. So confused

I believe in you.Originally posted by TheSolution View PostMan, believe me, go to the Showroom. I test rode the 200 4v ABS version. They have a White Test Drive vehicle too. I was the first one to test ride it. It arrived last Saturday.
I called the dealer for fun and he told me abs is there in "race apachii chennai".
The motorcycle they have doesn't have abs apparently. I am sure the Sales guy had no clue what abs is!

Haha. I took a few pics that day. You should go test drive and get a quote sometime. They are super eager to let people ride this thing. Their telephone calls notwithstanding

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Hey bro, I too had been to TVS Arunagiri. They have no idea about the Race Edition with ABS. The version you test rode is the 1st gen model with ABS which I had also test driven. I asked at TVS Nakshatra also, they too have no definitive timelines for Race edition with ABS. However the Basic Race Edition model is currently available.Originally posted by TheSolution View PostMan, believe me, go to the Showroom. I test rode the 200 4v ABS version. I have booked the 1st Gen model with ABS.. will be getting the delivery soon !

Since I have read everywhere that CBR250R has the best comfortable seat, I assumed so too. But my wife as pillion never liked it and her rantingOriginally posted by Pulsaroid View PostYou can try for CBR250. It's a tested and proven bike since long time. Give it a try and Take a Test ride of that also.
is not baseless. She uses to keep slipping forward on every braking and acceleration and mind it this is not intentional. She was comfortable on Yamaha Enticer to the core (sold it 3 months back) and even feel comfortable on a Discover 125. But these are flat seats and which is not available in 200cc and above. I am planning to buy me another ride and I am considering RTR 200 ABS, but it is on hold unless she passes a test ride as pillion and I know it is never going to happen

One thing that's creeping me out is rtr 200 or ns 200. Have read so many reviews. Test drove rtr 200 too, which is awesome. I didn't quite like the Bajaj brand from the start bcoz of their quality issues for which tvs has poor after sales management to compensate. Really in a confusing state of mind bcoz of that extra power Bajaj offers bcoz I like exhilarating torque and pick up, but I like the fit and finish of tvs. And to add my hate on Bajaj, when I opened their xbhp forum on ns 200, they mentioned so many problems, but everyone is justifying those problems which I didn't quite understand. I decided to go for rtr abs, but still, don't know why, my mind is going nuts to leave ns 200. Some guru should save me from this confusing shit. Is rtr 200 after sales good and can I put my safe bet on rtr?

From my experience here in Mumbai with SNC Workshop in Elphinstone. The service is not as bad as they say. Sure its not perfect but everone can improve.
Also. I see 10s of NS200 on the roads just casually moving around no head turning. But the Apache is a rare and a beautiful sight.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
If you are very much concerned about performance you better go for ns. It has a good top end performance with 6th gear which gives a stress free high speeds. It has few quality niggles that’s due to the quality of the plastic panels. But it’s said it has improved in bs4 models. On the others and there is no serious mechanical issues. Of course it engine is advanced than rtr. The Ktm base engine on ns is a bit less in refinement due to its higher performance but rtr has better refinement.Originally posted by surya prakash eddy View PostCorrect reply

If you are concerned about overall fit, finish, refinement and riding ease go for rtr. Even though it is less powerful than Ns, it won’t disappoint you as it has a good midrange performance and a decent top performance. You can easily go above hundred kilometres per hour speed all day long. It has a good suspension set up which offers a good ride quality without compromising handling. It’s chassis may not be as stiff as ns but it’s very light and offers a very sharp handling which is much suitable for tight traffics. When compared to rtr, ns feels heavy especially at slow speeds. But in case of fuel economy on my experiences ns gave a better average. Especially in city conditions.

Thanks for the suggestions bro. Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Both scores same, may be ns scores a bit high on technology and performance. It’s about your personal appeal. If you are very much concerned about performance go for ns. Rtr is a better refined motorcycle with a decent performance and very nimble handling.Originally posted by surya prakash eddy View PostThanks for the suggestions bro. Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Just got my 3rd service done. Gear sensor replaced.
Has any of you tried wax polishing?
And my brakes are totally messed up after the service. There is no bite at all. It seems like the are not disc brakes anymore but are drum brakes and that too very lousy drum brakes. I told this to service centre. They said that brakes have been cleaned and will set after 5-10km. After riding for around 20km I don't feel any difference. It very hard to stop the bike even at 60kmph. I feel scared to go above 40kmph. Where has the bite gone? Anyone else faced this issue?
