Is the chain noise present before or after service?? If before service, it is dry chain. If after service, it is likely that they over tightened the chain or screwed up the wheel alignment. Take care of these 3 things and there should be no chain noise.

Lean carb means the air-fuel mixture contains less fuel.Originally posted by sagarchandrac View Post

* lean carb- it started after service. Regularly I will maintain 5-6 litres of petrol- How to overcome this issue?Originally posted by ayrus View PostLean carb means the air-fuel mixture contains less fuel.

*Regarding chain noise- it started after service. Even I suspect they have screwed up alignment . I have complained about it they said to svc. They said noise is usual in Apache bikes.
Iam frustrated. This is my first bike.

The SVC people are lazy AF and will say anything and everything is normal to avoid fixing something.Originally posted by sagarchandrac View Post* lean carb- it started after service. Regularly I will maintain 5-6 litres of petrol- How to overcome this issue?

Steps to get the alignment right
1) Loosen the axle bolt
2) Tighten the left side adjustment bolt. (loosen the chain)
3) If the chain tightens, keep it at the tightest point and adjust both the bolts equally to get the required slack.
4) If the chain loosens, tighten the right side bolt (loosen the chain) and repeat the process till the chain tightens when you tighten the left side bolt.
This works when the wheel alignment is not correct. Don't bother about the chain adjustment markers.
For the carb setting, search "sportztourer carb tuning video" in google and follow it.

Can you please suggest the best RPM range ? If wrong RPM is set it this lead to jerk when it reaches high speed.

The RPM light is just a light on the console. It has nothing to do with anything else. Default is 7k. I've set it at 8k. I usually ride at around 5k RPM.Originally posted by sagarchandrac View PostAyrus thanks a lot for your help. I will try fixing it.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
After watching the "sportztourer carb tuning video" I suspect that idle RPM screw should be adjusted. I suspect that svc fellows screwed it up(idle RPM screw adjustment) too.Originally posted by ayrus View PostThe RPM light is just a light on the console. It has nothing to do with anything else. What idle RPM do you have after 30 mins of riding? Is it constant?Originally posted by sagarchandrac View PostAfter watching the "sportztourer carb tuning video" I suspect that idle RPM screw should be adjusted. I suspect that svc fellows screwed it up(idle RPM screw adjustment) too.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Ride for 15-30 mins. Stop the bike somewhere, put in neutral and observe the idle rpm. Rev till 5k rpm and release the throttle. It should drop to the idle quickly without any lag.Originally posted by sagarchandrac View PostI never observed it . I will check and let you know.
