Since it draws power from the battery in the first place it will impact its life. Because the alternator won’t produce enough current at slow speeds(considering the slow pace riding or heavy traffic conditions).
Then it put on load on the alternator that consumes a little more on engine output (you can experience a mild drop in idle speed on switching on the headlights)
In my opinion a good led drl is enough to aid in visibility in daylight( like plating or dio). So l would like to have it only when required. Auto headlight on is a most welcome feature.

[QUOTE=Anuj Agarwal;1364332]"AHO" is "ALWAYS HEADLAMP ON" and not "auto headlamp on"
if somebody gives sensors then the cost would shoot up to a good 5-10k just for the light sensing

It won’t cost much pal. I’m not sure, I think the first gen ktm rc is having that feature. It doesn’t have a headlight switch.

And in emission and fuel consumption point of view, for one vehicle it’s negligible but at global level its huge. The emission is in the form of exhaust and the heat generated by the lights itself.

Completely agree. The AHO is not required for India and Indian urban conditions. It was developed and made necessary in Europe due to their weather and traffic carelessness.
In India, some policy makers seem to have copy pasted it. While the LED DRLs were doing the job fine, this AHO is a shortcut employed by most manufacturers. It's an easy way out. Keeps their production cost low.

That's similar to how I feel, our folks just ctrl+c then ctrl+v. For companies it was a cheap way out to just connect the wires to the headlight and reduce the switchgear. They should have offered a LED DRL but that would involve some R&D and that means costs. They took the easy way out.

Now as for normal commuters, this means their headlight bulb is being used atleast twice the usual duration. So it'll have to be replaced more frequently, added costs. And for those like me, who use their ride during daytime apart from commuting, it's insane. So I just added a switch to the low beam and now I feel better having spent around ₹150.

                      Hi,

It's regarding availability of TVS engineer.

                      Issue:
                      * Front break is being applied well. However, rear break it just pumps and skids.

*Bike vibrates and jerks if it crosses 70km/hr.

                      *Tappet noise from engine.

                        KMs done??

                        1) There seems to be an ABS issue but also seems that you're relying too much on the rear brake.

                        2) Seems like a lean carb.

                        3) Get the tappet clearances adjusted. 0.06 mm inlet and 0.08 mm (someone said it was updated to 0.06 mm. Just make it sure with the SVC) exhaust on a cold engine.

They can't arrange it here... Told me to call TVS customer and log a compliant. TVS will send engineer at your nearest location

                            * Lean carb- problem with carboueter? How it can be rectified?

Also there is so much of chain noise.

Adjust chain slackness. And do you lube chain at regular interval at around 400km
