I guess that your bike is new. It's better to stick to the stock oil for 1 year or 12k kms (till the free services are over).

If you want, I will DM you the link of the Apache 200 WhatsApp group. You'll get to know more about engine oils there.

Here is the history for last 10 days

Delivered the bike for service on 13th to local svc at 23450kms
Note given that bike was miss firing so told to clean the carb

15th sat bike was given back saying air screw is not opening and they donot have any spare right now so will call when the spare arrive
But after taking the bike home it was not in running condition as rpm were going haywire and not reducing even after pressing the clutch .so it was accident prone.

So raised the complaint to tvs on their twitter handle which was registered on sunday the 16th.

On Monday the 17th delivered the bike to svc and told to correct the bike and the. Only deliver the bike as it was not rideable.
Got a call on friday about the bike from a guy regards to bike that still the air screw is not opening and carb needs to replaced and will be done by company cost.

Today is 24th and still waiting for the bike. ...

That's too sad brother but I guess you have been given some faulty bike or demo one... at the time of purchase did you check the bike thoroughly ?

You should ask for a full replacement or else move to consumer court

Remaining times I was gentle on throttle not exceeding 4k to 4.5k rpm for the first four gears and not exceeding 5k rpm in top gear mostly at 50 to 65 kmph. Now I am feeling guilty as I had planned not to do any 60 kmph for the first 1000kms and 70kmph for the next 1000kms. And the bike also had top speed recorded at 114kmph at the time of delivery itself. So the bike had done 110+ kmph runs 5 times before completing 2000kms. I am not facing any signs of engine problem till now at 2200kms on odo. I am curious to know whether it may have any negative impact on engine like piston problems, timing chain problems or any other problems related to engine if not now may be in the long runs say 25k kms? If yes, how can I prevent those problems from occurring? Please help me on my query.

Chill bro its okay there are two types of break-in you are type 2 I crossed 140kmph+

Apparently, the bike has not been allocated. The salesman was probably lying to get me to pay the balance amount. That is downright deceit. When I did not receive a call for two days, I called them up & asked about the payment. The manager told me the bike has not been allocated. I told him about my conversation with the salesman & he apologised. The salesman had also committed that he will deliver the bike in 15 working days with RTO registration. But, now I learned that the bike is not in stock.

I would like to know experiences of guys from Mumbai with Hare Krishna dealership. I am in half a mind to cancel the booking and get one from another dealer.

If someone can also enlighten me about the process if delivery, it will be great. Can I check the bike before making the balance payment or I can only do it when I collect it with number plate? Sorry if this seems like a lame question but this is only my second bike & I did not even collect my first one.

Also, what is the status of RTR 200 4v 2.0 in Mumbai? Is there a waiting period?

Bro go to matrix motors in mira road and talk to sameer over there ! Hare Krishna TVS throw a lot of tantrums but in Matrix TVS they will give you the bike in 4-5 days after booking and max 15 days for registration.... you can take the delivery on temporary number.

This is the procedure i got from svc to get support from TVS engineers.

Raise a complaint with TVS directly and you will get from them asking for feasible time and nearest showroom to check ABS issue. Once you confirmed time and location they will come to the showroom and fix your issues.

My bike's console used to notify "check speed sensor" sometimes. Can anyone tell me what to do?

It's normal when the bike is parked for a long time with the key in on position. It is absolutely normal behavior. Nothing to worry.

This notification will appear when bike is in idle state (when bike not moving) for more 3 mins at some gear position.

City Usage: The bike is very friendly for city use with a very light clutch lever and tall first gear (some may say it's short; does 20kmph at 5k rpm; I never feel the need to shift to 2nd when crawling through slow moving traffic). Also has very tall gears. I almost never use the 5th gear in the city. 5k rpm in 4th give 60kmph and 5th gives 70kmph. No engine heating issues whatsoever.

Performance: Adequate. Definitely more power than a 160/180cc bike. It has a better middle range than the NS but the top-end is non-existent. It has best power in the 4-7k rpm range.

Fuel efficiency: You can even manage 45kmpl if you ride for the sake of mileage. 38-40kmpl with normal riding and ~35kmpl with aggressive riding.

Qualtity issues: None as far as I know. The underseat plastic panels do get squeaky sometimes when you try to push the bike while sitting on it, if I nitpick but nothing bothersome.

Other things: Braking is not the best point. There is lot of feel and feedback for the brake levers but the outright braking power is lacking under hard braking.

I do suggest you to go for the ABS model.

Edit: Since you also have asked the same question in the FZ25 thread – this is a better city bike; FZ25 has better performance; mileage is similar for both bikes; I'm not sure of the QC issues of the FZ25 (ask/check in the FZ25 thread).

I 2nd all points from ayrus. Handling is so easy and almost zero vibration and noise. You don't feel like driving at 100. I see one issue is at 3-4.5k rpm where I feel some vibration and noise. svc people confirmed that it's known issue and tvs is working onit1

I don't have any such issue. The only vibrations that I get are above above 7-8k rpm. I think you may be running a bit lean on afr. Try to make the carb rich by 90°-180° and see if it improves anything. A lean carb can give some vibes throughout the rev range which can be noticed more at a specific point of the rev-range.
