btw, I don't agree with their logic one bit! Thanks for the info anyways.
I was surprised when I read your post, because last week I rode an RTR, I remember starting the bike in gear.

    Also for your other points,
    1. Oil condition is normal, nothing to worry about.
    2. Don't let the mechanic use that oil. It can cause problems later with the chain. Either a good chain spray or fresh gear oil will suffice.

Can we use 90 gear oil instead of chain lube? In the video, this guy recommends 90 gear oil over chain spray.

      What is your opinion?

Most welcome bro, 140 grade oil is thick i apply with toothbrush, but 90 grade oil is thin, u can apply 90 grade oil with a oil pump.

How much it costs and I hope we can get it cheaper around local sellers.

ya 140 is more viscous than 90.

Around 120+- for a 500 ml pack. Will last a year with weekly oiling. There is gulf star and HP brands on amazon. 500 ml is not always there but 1 ltr always is. Search ep 140 or even ep 90. Either way a monthly cleaning is required as the wet oil does attract more dust/grime. So kerosene/diesel and bit of brushing is suggested.

Have been using the same past 6 months. Don't need much. See if you have a small squeeze plastic bottle with a small hole on top. Becomes easy and non messy to apply. I use a suthol bottle.

It should be available easily in any plastic shops.

Ofcourse. A bottle with a lid makes it easy/spill proof to carry around in a bag on trips.

Did first service today ,as ODO was at 555kms and I found that general free Services aren't being done with care !!!

Anyhow I knew some mechanics there and I chose express service by ASC .

ASC guys generally uses 1L oil only for filling guys !! Keep on eyes , after I've noticed and said they added extra 200 ml of oil and service is ok.
*BIKE MANUAL refers to use 10w30 Tru4 oil andso I too asked the same ,with oil filter (compulsory change) got replaced; they used a chain spray .
The total bill amount is 780 Rs. and I came to know for chain lubing they costs around 45+18(CGST+SGST) bullsh*t !!! , Indeed.
