Why lament about a deed already done? Redlining is not recommended during the run-in period. Varying the rpm leads to better run-in. Avoid constant rpm riding.

until how much kms do I need to follow this type of driving? User manual says first 750kms. But some recommend for first 2000kms and some of them even say first 5k kms. I am confused. Is there any way to find that the bike has run in and the parts have set in? My bike has completed 980kms on odo.

Don't worry. Nothing will happen. Are they gonna tune your bike for 4k rpm and nothing more by break-in of 5k kms?? Just think... 80% of the smoothening and setting in of rough surfaces will be over by the firs 20% of the run-in period. The later 80% of the run-in is only for 20% setting of components. If the run-in is 1000 kms, nothing magical will change after the 1000 kms. Ride your bike as you will normally do with a bike, neither softer nor harder.

        Enjoy your ride.

Early damage rarely shows up so early. Usually affects in the long run. Also depends also on how long you intend to own the vehicle. If you are in it for the long run and care about expenses, ride sane and safe.

Thanks brother. One more query, I did two long drives in my bike, one before first 300kms itself and one after 450kms on odo. Both were 160kms ride each. I rode my bike almost non stop on both drives. Since 50% ride was on highways, I drove at constant rpm(60kmph). Will it cause any problem with engine in future?

Exactly. Approx 80% run in done in the first 20% of the period. The owner crossed 120+ when the odo was just over 100 kms.

Long rides are efficient ways of getting run ins done. Ideally vary the rpm/speed like between 50-80 every couple of hundred metres. Different ways to do run in for different people. But you are already at 1k on the odo. Won't matter too much now.

No. I did 110 when 650kms on odo before first service and I crossed 120 after first service when the bike clocked 750kms on odo. I never exceeded 55 till first 500kms with the very rare ride up to 70 kmph(2 to 3 times). But at the time of delivery, the top speed recorder has recorded 114kmph as top speed when the bike has just done 1.2 kms on odo.

yeah. No point in worrying now.

Guys suggest me a helmet size IDK , how much tightness should it be ??

I've checked studds ,they have sizes S,L,XL
which are 560,580,600 mm respectively !

I feel L is literally tightened up but XL feels little shaky when weared !!!

                      Any suggestions are welcomed!

Go for the one that fit a little tight. It’ll loosen up with usage to get the right fit.

Usually European helmets have a tigher fit than most Asian brand helmets for the same size. It's good to go for a helmet that fits a little snugger as opposed to on the looser side. Helmet pads overt time lose their thickness and eventually give you a perfect fit. When they're new they're would fit tighter than expected.

For any future helmet related queries post your queries here.

                          Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                          The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                          THE END

Completely agree here, If you feel the helmet fits snugly around your head then go for it; don't worry about the tightness you feel around your ears. Once the foam settles in, the helmet will fit snugly around your ears as well.

I recently bought a studds helmet (i think the model is called scorpion D4). It was very very tight around my ears for the initial 2-3 days but now its getting better.

Yeah , seems tightness will be okay and better !

I am getting rattling sound intermittently from left side probably near the gear shifter but I am not sure. Spoke to ASC guys but they said it is the sound which comes when the chain wobble while riding through a rough patch. However I get this sound more when I am riding with pillion and that too even when the road is smooth enough. I will visit the ASC again for this issue but still need your guidance as its making me worried.
