I feel the run-in period is not just for the bike but also for the rider. To take it gentle at first to get used to the power and braking characteristics of the bike. Then gradually push the bike harder as you get more familiar with it.

5 months old! Got it from Magnus showroom Vasai East, friendly staff and delivered a week before promised date.
Did 1st service at 350 kms with oil change.
Second service was done at 910 kms (bike was hardly used), no oil change. Will that cause any issues in future? Do i need to lube chain after every 1000 kms?

Depending on the conditions - a dusty or humid environment requires cleaning and lubing every 500-600 kms or when the chain looks drier than it should be.
Make sure you change oil at regular intervals irrespective of the kms clocked(in your case its less hence the gyaan). If you ride less then every 6 months or so get the oil changed. Even when kept inside the whole assembly, the oil is prone to breaking.Regards,

No it was done after first service post the odo clocked 800+ km. The mechanic suggested me to ride at 50-60 kmph and not to take on the hills before the first service.Originally posted by ayrus View PostDid you do 130 in an almost new bike?!

In my opinion, the bike behaves best under braking and accelerating out of turns, I cannot comment on the top end speed as my bike is still in the run in period and I have not pushed it above 5000 rpm.

Need some help with queries.
1. Is Saree guard Footrest available for this variant. If not, is it possible to make minor changes in the existing guard as I want it in any case. Anyone knows where can I get it in Pune.
2. What kind of care need to be taken to keep the bike shining.
3. I face cold start issue in the morning. Is it normal and is it ok to use choke. Sometimes I face issue to stalling/low rpm issue while starting the bike after 9-10 hrs.
4. Will the bike performance be affected if I soften the rear suspension by 1-2 step?
5. Did someone faced gear shifting issue in slow speed.

True that, sometimes I'm amazed at how far I can push my ride. My friend owns a Pulsar AS 200 with Euroslip(grip) tryes. Every time I ride it, its scary to go beyond 50 kmph due to its poor braking. For perspective, my Access 125 has better braking than the AS 200 and I'm more confident to push it to higher speeds and lean more in corners. But my friend will do 70-80 kmph easily and make the bike come to a halt at will even if it skids a bit as if the bike was bound to him by some magic spell. When I asked him how he does that, he said "I know all the different ways in which my bike will skid under different road and braking conditions and hence I'm able to control it." He also continued to explain the 7 major types of skids of the bike.

Bro, I know the concept of habituation. My rear tyre since 2012 has been Ceat Gripp, curently Gripp XL. It has a good grip in off road kinda conditions. Was it track days?
Was it just munchin miles?
Was it learning it the hard way? (Hopefully not)
My best bet is that it was a combination of all three but I'd like to get to know your friend's experience.
I hope to get to know my bike better every day. Lately, untimely rains in Mumbai have made me lose my confidence in TVS Remoras. (Yes, I had a fall).
