Always get a relay for aftermarket horns. It's just a 60-100 rupees well spent and will protect your electrical system.Originally posted by passionaterider View PostHi guys, i own an Apache rtr 200 abs version. Changed oil only once in 8k kms and a year specially during the run-in period? That's a definite no-no irrespective of how much you ride. Even if you ride it for 100 kms a year, make it a point to change atleast every 6 months. Also run the engine in idle for 5 mins or so atleast once a week if its not in use. Will help the battery and engine lubrication. Mineral oil has a shelf life once poured. Even fs oils should be changed once a year even if not ridden. Hope your bike is in good shape even though it seems unlikely.Originally posted by srp321 View PostHello fellow xBhpians,
I own a RTR200 2017 edition.
Could someone point me to the things that i need to check and/or be wary of when my bike is already due for 5th servicing.
I'm asking this bcoz in recent 4-5 months, i have been using it sparingly and current ODO reading is ~8200 km (4th servicing at 7000 km, 3+ months back)
Apart from the usual chain, handling, switches, brake cleaning, i feel that i need to replace the engine oil as its looking more on the black side and thin.
Till date only once i have replaced the full oil, and rest only top-up as bike didn't require it.
And, if oil change is required, which one should i choose ?
Also, any help with the side stand being too slant? i always have to park my bike on double stand as the side stand feels very slant and i fear that bike might fall in many situations
TIA

My bike is over 1 year old. The bike is not starting in gear. So clutch switch has to be replaced and gear sensor is also giving wrong indications sometimes. So both things have to be replaced. Will they be covered in warranty?

Was the bike starting in gear earlier? Is the clutch switch placed to the left of the front fork, somewhere below the horn?Originally posted by Ysahil92 View PostMy bike is over 1 year old. The clutch switch is placed under the clutch lever near the YOKE, you have a small switch underneath. This is what activates the starter motor when the clutch is pulled in, it's basically a bypass switch.Originally posted by jomson13 View PostWas the bike starting in gear earlier? As long as you're under warranty period, you're entitled for replacement for 95% of the items.Originally posted by Ysahil92 View PostMy bike is over 1 year old. The bike is not starting in gear. Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

That's good enough I suppose.
Bro at what speed and how do you drive ? Like aggressively or Smooth ?

I got 40 and 42kmpl on 1st 2 mileage check with 6.87 and 7 Lt fuel during run in period. For 1st mileage test I was running under 50kmph and for 2nd I ran it under 5000 rpm. Mileage looks pretty decent for this beast [emoji1]Originally posted by reckless_biker View PostEven I got the gear sensor replaced under warranty
