Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Speed rating for pirelli ones ??Originally posted by ALI.R View PostShall check this on mine and revert tomorrow!
Quick query : I've regularly heard that the braking setup on the RTR is excellent.
The thing is, having ridden a FZ16 for nearly 4 years prior to buying the RTR, and the brakes on it had instant feedback and bite. I mean, so little was the lever movement required that I mostly used just my index finger to brake, even in sudden stops.
Coming to the RTR, I am finding the brakes a bit 'soft', after the initial bit of riding I've done today. It sure requires a fair bit more of lever movement to firmly engage the front brake. Obviously, I'm short on braking confidence due to this. Are the brakes normally so spongy or do I need to change my braking habit /mechanism.??
Could help

In terms of handling 200ns is no good.. Especially with front set foot pegs... & Flighty front end. It doesn't give u that much confidence which u will feel with rtr200 & the duke200.Originally posted by IamAditya View PostDuke200 is nothing but stiffer suspension set up.
And other one is 200ns, suspension set up especially the front is a big let down.
Best chassy balance, stiffer suspension would do wonders.

Yes softer front suspension, that is the issue.Originally posted by tanishq View PostIn terms of handling 200ns is no good.. Especially with front set foot pegs... & Flighty front end. It doesn't give u that much confidence which u will feel with rtr200 & the duke200.
Feed back is less, but once leaned over you get the confidence to push harder.
But one need to get used to that bike unlike rtr and duke.

I tried looking for the speed rating but somehow couldn't find anything on the tyres 😕😕😕.Originally posted by vins1120 View PostSpeed rating for pirelli ones ??

However, some Internet research indicates that the PSD on the front is rated at 150kmph and the Angel GT rear at 240kmph.
PowerDrift in their review had stated that a mismatch of grip levels was noted on this Pirelli combination, but only under hard cornering/high leans.

Oh thank u! I asked coz motorbeam mentioned it as a con of the Apache...Not suitable for tall riders.Originally posted by tanishq View PostNo dude!!.
There is nothing like that... M 6ft tall & i have no issues with it... It will be better if u will take a test ride & see it by ur self.
Glad that it's not true.

Don't worry. I too am 6ft plus. The knee recesses and ergonomics are perfect. I could never fit on my Fz16 and was pleasantly surprised at how accommodating the RTR is for riders of all sizes.Originally posted by kc_1602 View PostOh thank u! Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Got them number plates punched in today.
Just like my previous motorcycle, the FZ16, the front holder is located at a truly awful point. Totally ruins the marvellous looking headlamp setup. I noticed that the number plate is now covering the top ends of the DRLs. 😬😬😬.

I am yet to get my head around this BS4 thingy too. The engines are being tuned to meet the more stringent emission norms. Existing vehicles will stay as they are. All manufacturers have updated their vehicle lineups to fall in line. No wonder, almost all of the recent launches have BS4 compliant mills.Originally posted by vins1120 View PostWell news of bsiv Apache 200
How does it affect us??
Any ideas
At times it seems like a gimmick in our country and nothing more. Especially with the ever increasing pollution levels, they might as well apply BS999 😕.Last edited by ALI.R; 03-20-2017, 09:28 PM.

I will be installing a visor soon too. Had a custom(AS200) one on my FZ, and it did help a lot on the highways. Will try a similar jugaad on the RTR once I get the time.Originally posted by tanishq View PostYup... Totally agreed on that I wonder wats wrong with these manufacturer today....
