Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
As for the seat issue, even my bike had it, until yesterday ( first service ). The rider seat was not closing/locking at all, so after multiple attempts it locked so well that it didnt open. So mechanic opened the seat, adjusted the pin ( which goes in the lock ), I dont know what he did exactly, but he took it inside and did something to it and it works fine now.Originally posted by nmshah22 View Post

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
FYI, the Apache series is manufactured in the Mysore tvs plant and NOT the hosur tvs plant. So the problem between TN and KA did/will not affect rtr 200 stocks.Originally posted by Dovahkiin View PostGot to know from a few news reports that trucks are plying between TN and KA again. Hopefully this will resolve any existing impediments for dealerships to stock RTR200 in Bangalore.
Has anyone here got a call from their dealer recently for bike delivery. If so kindly let me know the dealer details.
I will be going to check out the Gixxer SF this weekend. Also managed to get a colleague to let me check out his Gixxer SF later so that I can make up my mind. Hope to have a bike before October mid at least.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Please avoid Shree Sai TVS from Vashi/ Nerul Navi Mumbai. Very unsupportive staff. Even after 40 days of purchase they failed to register my bike . Giving unbelievable reasons. it's like me running around , calling up their agents even after paying full in cash..
Pls avoid this.

Did my bike 2nd servicing yesterday. The false gear problem is solved as of now. Changed engine oil also as it was less. Didn't do top up so changed to be on safer side and for mind to feel relax. Total bill was rs. 730/- inclusive of oil and oil filter change.

Does your fuel gauge problem also got resolved?
Do engine oil need to get changed in every servicing or after 3000kms only?
You have completed your second servicing and I am still waiting for my bike to come. Don't play with me RTR, please come to me daddy is tired of waiting....😞😞Last edited by Logan01; 10-10-2016, 03:09 AM.Once there was a man and a Bike....

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Took delivery of my new RTR 200 (Carb) a few days back from Manguirish TVS (Goa). It feels amazing to ride and catches a lot of attention
.
Although, I have been facing a minor issue with my bike. Usually when I start my bike in morning, it's idle speed is 1200 to 1400 rpm, but after riding the bike for, say 15 to 20 mins, idle speed jumps to around 2600 rpm! Is this normal or I have a badly tuned carb ???

the rpm increases only after warm up? another possibility could be a stuck accelerator or choke cable. do the two go back to default position completely? check it out...

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Hi I faced the same with my bike initially, its just that you have to reduce the idling speed for your taste. You can increase or decrease your idling by turning a stainless steel knob right below the rider seat on the right side, its hard to miss.Originally posted by vivek.kumar View PostTook delivery of my new RTR 200 (Carb) a few days back from Manguirish TVS (Goa). Yeah, rpm increases after warm up, either when I leave the bike idle for 2-3 mins or after riding it for a while .... Accelerator is fine, will check the choke cable ...Originally posted by Kos View Postcongrats on your new acquisition...

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Hii Guys,
Sorry for posting here, bacause of Apache RTR thread is not so acive.
Today I visited 2 TVS Showrooms for TD and quotation of Apache 160 in Pune.
I am attaching quotations of the bikes which is given to me.
Sadly one of the showroom ( Kalamkar TVS located in Balewadi Phata Baner) didn't give me TD.
Other showroom ( Century TVS Wakadewadi Shivajinagar) gave me TD, I liked the bike but speedometer was off so I didn't judge at what speed I am riding bike.
I love the bike overall.
I take TD of Gixxer also which is located opposite to Century TVS.
Pickup of Gixxer was just Awesom.I drive the bike upto 82kmph just within seconds. The TD bike was in so bad condition, the bike felt same as FZ 16 (one of friend have it).
But price of Gixxer is looking so High compared to Apache.
I will get rear disk Apache 160+ Choice No. + 2 months of petrol in the cost of Gixxer.
Can I bargan more with the price of the bikes ? If yes , then how much?
Guys so much confusion in both bikes,
I am favoured in Apache more, so please need your Advice.
Thanks.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Thanks for the reply dude. I did ask the same thing to the Kubera Dealership manager. He came up with the excuse that although the bike is manufactured in Mysore, TVS uses TN trucks to bring in components from Hosur for the bike or something along those lines.Originally posted by Abishek94 View PostFYI, the Apache series is manufactured in the Mysore tvs plant and NOT the hosur tvs plant. I don't trust these guys but I can't think of any reason why they would delay the bike purchase unnecessarily when I am ready to take it at a moments notice.
Overall my purchase experience has been frustrating to say the least though I can't blame the dealership for it since all of them in Bangalore are quoting 3 to 4 months waiting period. I blame TVS. Starting to hate them before even getting the bike.
