Ofcourse rtr200 will be better after all its a 200cc bike.. but the main con wid this bike is the amount of wind blast u have to face.... Try to put some aftermarket windshield on that... Apart from that... Its a awesome machine....😃Originally posted by shekhark View PostThanks Tanishq for your quick reply,
Actually I booked rtr 160
But now I am confused, in both this bikes.
I like to do long rides.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Hi guys, after waiting more than 1 month I have finally received the Matt Red version of this beast. The bike looks stellar in this colour. During delivery I have noticed matt black, matt grey and matt white color of this bike but the matt red was looking the most gorgeous (Its my perspective, no offense
). Apart from the looks, every other aspects of the bike are equally good. Build quality is very good (maybe not as solid as the bikes from Japanese counterparts but it's not bad either), riding experience is excellent, handling is phenomenal, the instrument console is loaded with features. Suspension is on the softer side which mares a very comfortable ride. I believe TVS has given their best in producing this bike.
Few things I didn't like about the delivery of the bike:
1. The month long waiting period was unbearable.
2. The ODO was 18KM, which the sales guy said that the distance covered during transporting the bike from godown to the showroom.
3. The top speed recorded was 115 Km/Hr, for which the answer I got is that TVS does testing of the bike at factory. I really don't know if this is true or did someone just abused the bike!
4. There are major scratches on the front and rear mud guard which I failed to notice during delivery which was after dusk. There are also few scratches on the engine leading to exposure of metal. I asked the sales representative about these and he said that these occurred during transportation of the vehicle from the factory. I was really disappointed but I liked and wanted this bike badly and so I compromised. After all, these are Indian manufacturers, so quality is really an issue here.
Other than all the above issues, the bike is really good, I have rode around 250 km till now, engine feels smooth but also a bit grunty at times. I am getting a mileage of around 30 kmpl. I hope all these issues will be resolved after performing the first service. I am maintaining a speed of around 50 kmph. I haven't faced any issue related to false neutral or error in gear position indicator (which majority of owners of this bike faced). Gear shifting is crisp and precise like Yamaha and Honda. Also, there were no issues with the speedometer either.
Below are few pictures of my gorgeous new beast.

Congrats Akash. Red looks stunning. My favorite colour in RTR200.Originally posted by Akashxxz View PostHi guys, after waiting more than 1 month I have finally received the Matt Red version of this beast.
Regarding scratches, while doing PDI i is better we make our presence there. And most importantly dont take delivery during night. It is the easiest way showroom people try to fool us.

Go through this post. In my opinion it takes away the street fighter look👍

As per manual keep your tank full to yield better mileage result.Originally posted by shekhark View PostIs it true that if bike is in reserve, then it gives very low mileage such as 18-20 kmpl ???
But 18-20 is very less, complaint about this in your next service.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Actually in my bike it is the opposite. if i fill 2to 3 liters then mileage would be more compared to tank full.Originally posted by shekhark View PostIs it true that if bike is in reserve, then it gives very low mileage such as 18-20 kmpl ???
Reason could be increased in weight, but bike would feel more planted with full tank due to front end weight.
But ant any case your seems to be very low. get it cheeked of try reliable fuel station, probably company owned.

Aesthetically adding a visor to a street fighter will degrade the look. But if you are a tourer then it is must to ride @ higher speed. But then you will need a little bigger than what is shown in the pics.Originally posted by abhishek_jain View Posthttp://www.xbhp.com/talkies/showthread.php?p=1252853

That visor is actually too small to serve any purpose. Doesn't add anything aesthetically too, just like that Fz-s one.Originally posted by dineshaugustin View PostActually in my bike it is the opposite. if i fill 2to 3 liters then mileage would be more compared to tank full.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Well its almost a decade long story and also a long post [emoji12]
Been riding a Rx100 for almost 12years(she's in the family from 1994), so last year thought of buying a more fuel efficient bike to give some relief to my burning pockets, but ended up buying my friend's Thunderbird [emoji23]
In short the power increases but average remains the same(sometimes even less in Thunderbird) [emoji34]
So last month search begins again for a more fuel efficient bike as Diwali festival brings many discount and offers [emoji6] . There was a tie up between Gixxer and fzs-fi and just than one of friend insist on trying the Apache160 as it's very popular and proven machine. So just to test ride the bike, visited the Nainital TVS Haldwani(Uttarakhand) on 2nd Oct and while entering the showroom saw one Matt red Apache200 and just than once again my dream of owning a fuel efficient bike shattered in million pieces.
Talked to the staff and find out that besides 2 pieces(Matt red and Matt grey) one fresh untouched Matt grey is in their godown. Checked all the three bikes and finalized the Matt grey from the godown as it was having 1.9kms on the odo [emoji2]
Bring the beast home on 9th Oct and today completed 1001kms. So far extremely happy with my decision.
Maybe I will buy a Platina or Centuro next or next to next year to fulfill my dream of owning a higher mileage bike [emoji23]
Now time for some pics [emoji6]

Will update the ownership experience in the next post [emoji12]Safety is a Cheap and Effective Insurance Policy !!!
Yamaha Rx100 = 1994 to forever
Honda Unicorn = 2005(sold)
