No wiring altered. I have used the headlight switch itself so no extra wiring also. There are 2 taps for headlight switch the first will start your tail lights and the second the headlamp. So I have used the first tap so night time I use the first tap that starts the led bar light and for longer throw on highway I use the 2nd tap for higher beam and thus both the lights are on, on the 2nd tap.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
It's not HID its just like a normal extra fog lamp. So its should be legal I have seen many bikers installing extra lights on their bikes here in Mumbai.Originally posted by juzar30986 View Post

Yes the clutch is a bit tight but once you get use to it, you will not find it hard. Also with everyday use it becomes loose.Originally posted by Vishal Rohra View PostEven i have on my dazzler but dont use it in city , only on highways

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
I've checked mine..it looks burnt and unfinished too.,but not as burnt as your's.may it was unfinished so that looks burnt because this portion is covered by engine cowl.u can ask the mechanic about it by visiting the service centre for further details.Originally posted by vivek.kumar View PostHey guys, the exhaust pipe on my RTR 200 looks rusted and burnt. Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Finally got the bike. Grey Apache RTR200 (base version). Odo stood at 9.6km with the top speed recorded as 84km/h. But the tyre still had fresh treads and even the line on it was largely visible.
I had booked matte red (was open to the black or white ones too) but ended up taking this one since I didn't want to wait any longer.
No issues noticed with the bike to date (except that the turning radius is quite restrictive - compared to my friends scooty that I used to ride). I am more concerned about the apparent loud chain noise on the bike (especially noticeable at slow speeds..though the exhaust note is awesome). It seems to coming from around the front sprockets and sounds just like a cycle chain when coasting. I have ordered the Motul chain cleaner and lube from Amazon and plan to proactively maintain the chain hoping to resolve this. Has anyone else noticed this on their bikes?
I had asked the service guys while taking delivery if they had taken care of lubing the chain (and all the fluids) and they had told me to not worry about it and said next maintenance will be required only at 1st service. Since i dont trust them I will try my luck with maintenance at home.
Also are hand guards and windshield available for this bike as accessories now?
One more thing I would like to do is to install an alarm security system on the bike. But would like to know how effective an alarm system would be on this bike. Can the connection be made from the battery to the alarm controller in such a manner so as to conceal the wiring (so that the bad guys dont just cut the wire). I am also looking at imported disk locks but that would take some time.Last edited by Dovahkiin; 10-21-2016, 05:54 PM.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Hi guys,
Which Showroom did you buy RTR 200 in Bangalore. I am searching in each showroom in east Bangalore all are saying it is not available and also still no FI\ABS version launched yet in Bangalore. I met couple of guys with RTR 200 on road in Bangalore, they had ABS with FI, but all where from other states.

Hi Dovahkiin, Even I have noticed this on my bike. Noise is much louder at slower speeds. I will get my chain lubricated at 1st service (it's next week). Will buy TVS TruSpray from service centre.Originally posted by Dovahkiin View PostNo issues noticed with the bike to date (except that the turning radius is quite restrictive - compared to my friends scooty that I used to ride). Very true about TVS dealerships and service centers, sales and services are pathetic in TVS. But the products are awesome. I am using TVS fiero from 14 yrs, still can go above 100 and gives an supper mileage of 55.

As you said, it's the same story everywhere I guess; nobody has a damn clue about the product availability and all. They don't care about customer complaints or anything like that. It shows the how poor is their Management structure. When I walked into TVS showroom in my town, I felt that it would be a mistake to invest such a big amount on a TVS bike. I suggest you think before buying this bike. Nobody has a clue when its full option version will be available either.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
New silencers over time change colors due to the heat produced by the exhaust and some slight amount of rust is inevitable. Though rusting in inevitable, this is the third instance where people have complained about excess rusting and uneven weld finishing on the silencer. Though this isn't normal, for now, it can be considered normal, unless you have excess rust accumulation. Do keep a tab on the rust levels, if you find it rusting significantly, time for a new one.Originally posted by vivek.kumar View PostHey guys, the exhaust pipe on my RTR 200 looks rusted and burnt. Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Hi dude
I booked mine from Kubera Motors and chased it up like hell. During booking they had promised a delivery within 30 to 45 days. I had basically followup with the showroom people every alternate day and hounded TVS customer service, Area sales manager and had got to the point of contacting TVS Head of Sales in India.
Fortunately they had a stock of two RTR's come in exactly 45 days after my booking and I got it by paying in full. India (but particularly Bangalore) seems to have issues with stock availability. I think the waiting period has increased to above 3 months now.
