Gear shifting and false neutral problem should get resolved at the service center without much efforts. Gear shift is the main problem if thats resolved then the false neutral will get automatically resolved. For me this problem is gone after the 2nd servicing. I had told them to get it rectified and its done so I am happy with that.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
My infuriating purchase experience with TVS continues. I had called up Kubera motors, Bangalore to get the details of when the next stock of RTR200 is coming in and the lady (salesperson) tell me that she has no idea of the arrival date. Shocked, I ask her to confirm if she doesnt know when new stocks will be delivered to their dealership and she does so without any shame (Is this how dealerships in India usually work? This is my first bike..).
Then I call up TVS customer care and ask for reasons on why stock for this bike is not available in Bangalore (after telling them about the uncooperative dealership personnel) and the lady tells me that I have to contact the dealership to get the details on stock arrival
(understood that TVS employs seriously smart people in customer care).
Today called up the TVS customer care again and tell them that I need the contact details for the Area Sales Manager (Karnataka) and they tell me that they dont have any information on this. After telling the guy that this is unacceptable and asking him to register a complaint he disconnects the bloody call
. Does someone here know the contact details for the same.
Now I am seriously starting to doubt whether I should go for this bike. If not for the really good VFM proposition this bike presents (and the knowledge that most customer service experience in India will be the same) I would seriously have got my hands on the Gixxer by now.
Also, Can somebody please confirm if the bike is still being manufactured and everything..I mean are there any issues with the bike that TVS is looking to fix because in Motorbeams (Youtube channel) RTR200 vs RS200 comparison somebody had said that he had tried to get the bike in Kolkata but the dealer had informed him that TVS has stopped production of the bike and is looking to fix some issues (dont know what ..the bike doesnt seem to have any critical issues that cant be fixed at normal service centres). I know that I shouldn't trust comments on Youtube so much but looking at the ground reality leaves me few choices.

Follow up regularly and eat their heads after 15 days.I have started making calls every day after 15th day, it worked very well for me. Show your passion and ask the status and say (will pay by CASH), your number should be registered to them when they see their month end bills.
Or
Wait until ABS comes some internet sources like Rushlane said ABS is on the way " will hit showrooms by dec".Last edited by Anelkumar; 10-13-2016, 05:15 PM.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Thank you so much dude. Spoke to the Area Sales Manager and told him the whole deal. He gives me the usual sales pitch that the demand is more than what we expected and that the initial waiting period has gone up from 3 months to....(didnt say.I dread to even think about it. Kubera motors told me 30 to max 45 days).Originally posted by Shrilakshmi Prasad N View PostKarnataka 1 should be for Bangalore.
Of course he couldn't say that TVS is not bothered about stock limitations in India (and consequently the [idiot?] Indian enthusiast) and is exporting many pieces (Fi) to international markets.
They have taken down my number and promised to call me back in 2/3 days with an update. I guess I will wait till that happens (hopefully it does).
Well according to the Area Sales Manager the waiting period is only going to get longer (not 20 days but more than 3 months). Regarding the persistence well I wasn't as persistent as you dude (nice work) but I have called them up 15+ times in the last one month and spoken to multiple sales personnel and manager in the dealership (all of whom seem clueless about the stock availability). Already told them at booking and have reminded them during all subsequent calls that I will pay immediate (no finance).Originally posted by Anelkumar View PostSee What i know is due to bandh there was a pause in the production for few days and then after i see there a 1 month stock (sept) that needs to be delivered, what ever i have seen( their warehouse when i asked them to show the bike after full payment) the stock it's August's they said( have seen few greys and blacks and one white i took it) .By this month end ,every thing will be normal and start delivery within 20 Working days.

I did adamantly wait for ABS (first till the bikes started coming into dealerships when all the dealers told me that ABS is not expected to come anytime soon and then till September because thats what many automotive forums told). Once i heard that the date has been pushed to December (I dont believe this timeline will be met either) I went ahead and booked the bike since I need one desperately for office commute.
The problem is if I want a Gixxer SF or Yamaha YZF R15 or even the RS200/P220 I can get one in Bangalore almost immediately..for some of these even on the same day. This is because these guys have stock in hand. What pisses me off about RTR200 is that despite being launched in January the dealership are still in that initial 1 month after launch (saar...we dont know when the stock will come ...but we will call you) mode

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
^^ same here tried 100 times to get the bike with solar TVs and sales guys started avoiding my call at last they told to collect back the booking amount as it is impossible to commit on delivery.
Bunch of jokers are sitting in top management they are so rude for Indians and it is not long time these guys will learn hard lesson and will be too late for comeback.
I am happy with my R15s now, got within 2 days without any hassels.
TVS is worst company still after 10 months dealers are clueless about ABS and FI versions leave about top variant these guys doesn't know when normal versions will be available for delivery

I would say the problem is with TVS and not with the dealer or the bike itself.Originally posted by Dovahkiin View PostThank you so much dude. TVS has to decide and start speeding up the production. Until TVS takes the decision, the dealers have no choice but to give lame reasons.
AFAIK, there were some testing done couple of months back. It has to be FI variant. Hence we cant expect FI to be launched in near future.

Here in hyderabad its the other way round the sales are liquid smooth, getting the delivery the same day itself, coz of low demand i guess I hardly saw 4 other rtr 200's apart from mine in hyderabad since past 3 mnths. If someone's in a hurry and want the bike immediately just get it from here its also cheaper than other states, at 1.06L onroad for the base variant. Donno what will be the registration glitches though if the bike is purchased form other state and registered elsewhere. You also have all colors in Stock apart from that yellow i guess.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Thanks for the info dude. I knew the Area Sales Manager was giving me the predictable sales pitch when he told me that the bike was in such demand that there need to increase the waiting period from 3 to above 3 months. I will wait for his call and if he tells me to wait for another month or so then I will show him the finger (figuratively) and start looking at other options.Originally posted by sam2561 View PostHere in hyderabad its the other way round the sales are liquid smooth, getting the delivery the same day itself, coz of low demand i guess I hardly saw 4 other rtr 200's apart from mine in hyderabad since past 3 mnths. Cant get the bike from another state since the ex showroom price will also be different and it will be difficult to register here in KA ( difference in OTR seems to be just 3k).

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Today I called TriStar TVS(where I booked my bike about a month ago) about the status of RTR 200, they told that there is chances that the production of bike has been stopped as they didn't got any bike in last 3 months, after that i called to kubera motors(where I booked for second time about 15days back) and they told that they are getting three bikes within a week and then they will let me know the status after 3 days. Confused with whom to believe I called to TVS customer care and told them about TriStar TVS, they told that the production didn't stopped but they didn't told the reason why the delay. They took all my details and filed a complaint and told me that filled officer will make a call to me within a day and maybe my problem will get resolved(means I may get bike..😊 finger Crossed)
I will update once I will get the call from filled officer.Once there was a man and a Bike....
They have seen once only.....

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
TVS dealerships and service centers are are very poor in terms of customer care. As you said, it's the same story everywhere I guess; nobody has a damn clue about the product availability and all. They don't care about customer complaints or anything like that. It shows the how poor is their Management structure. When I walked into TVS showroom in my town, I felt that it would be a mistake to invest such a big amount on a TVS bike. I suggest you think before buying this bike. Nobody has a clue when its full option version will be available either.Originally posted by Dovahkiin View PostMy infuriating purchase experience with TVS continues. Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
TVS is unprofessional and they only make the bikes and don't know how to sell it. What kind of a stupid Company can turn their back on potential customers? They know that there is high demand and large numbers of queries, but the response from the dealerships are so poor and disappointing. How does this company plan to sell their products? Only that mediocre scooter Jupiter?Originally posted by Punto@bang View Post^^ same here tried 100 times to get the bike with solar TVs and sales guys started avoiding my call at last they told to collect back the booking amount as it is impossible to commit on delivery.
