My new RTR 200 V. I would like to thank all of you here for making it easier for me to choose RTR 200v.

I have owned CBZ Star and my cousin has Apache 180.. Let me tell you one thing very clearly, the vibrations is very less as compared to CBZ and RTR 180. CBZ had too much, RTR 180 has between speed 50 to 75 after that they subside.

Loved the exhaust sound.. Baby ko Bass pasand hai..

This bike draws too much attention on the road. amateurs just have a look but professionals not just stare, they come and ask questions and satisfy there curiosities, reminiding of me..

What i ddin't like is pillion seat. I rode it from jabalpur to Satna 210 kms and my butts were like-when will i get off this bike-, Pillion seat is very uncomfortable. Footpegs are also not rightly placed as i felt pain in my knee joints and had to straigthen every 20 mints.. M thinking of modifying pillion seat by cushioning it and widening it..People with big butts will be hard to carry..

Congratulations on your new ride man!

Yes, the seat isn't the most comfortable to park our butts on. I felt the same thing too but after a while, I am feeling better. Haven't done any long rides on this one yet though. Still at 370 kms

            Hi dude

See that you are from Bangalore and have booked the bike from Arunagiri. I had booked the bike from Kubera Motor at the start of September. But they have been telling me to expect an increase of waiting period since no new stock of the bike is coming in.

Could you please confirm if the bike you are receiving is from new stock and if they have more bikes. If so I will cancel my booking with Kubera and go to Arunagiri immediately.

Also has someone else got the delivery of the bike from Bangalore recently and if so from which dealership.

              Hi,
I don't know what do you mean by new stock(there is no bike available for display when i went to book) , how to recognize it, I booked in 3 agencies with the help of my known friends .

I just meant that I have been calling multiple tvs dealers in Bangalore and all of them are saying that they dont have the bike in stock currently and are not receiving any new stock from TVS either. They are quoting waiting periods of upto 3 - 4 months even if i tell them that I have the entire amount in hand .

Just wanted to know if Arunagiri has got new stock (from TVS ...a bike that is not been used for test rides or as a display bike) of the bike since even I need a bike desperately. Someone in this thread mentioned that the new bikes come with KYB sticker on the front forks. Other than that if you can decode the VIN you would know when the bike was manufactured (sorry for TVS i have no idea how to do it).

Meanwhile, I have started looking at Suzuki Gixxer SF and will take the decision on whether to book it by this weekend.

                    Hey people,Today I test drove RTR2004V.

Built quality wise it is still not upto Hero or Honda level, so not satisfactory to me. But Definitely better than Bajaj.

Test drive: the bike has insane pickup just like all RTR's. It is short geared, so expect a mediocre top-end & cruising capabilities. Refinement wise, much better than RTR180 since the new 200 has balancer gear/4 valves.

RTR series were never meant to be comfortable, so for comfort I must say it will be very uncomfortable for taller built people, especially above 5.11 feet. Foot pegs still have the same position as RTR180, just the seats are a bit taller. The motorcycle only is suitable for shorter - medium riders.

Verdict: RTR fans will love this bike & it is a worthy upgrade from the 180. But for the rest of the bikers, the situation is pretty much the same. According to me, if you are in the market to buy a 200cc around 1.2 lakh budget, you have only 2 options: P220 & RTR200. The P220 is more tall geared, comfortable & has touring capabilities & is a all rounder bike. spare parts are plenty & affordable. Drawback: cheap quality & bad NVH. So make a choice.

Surprisingly all major cities have no stock of RTR200, but this dealer has 10 pcs of matte grey, red & black

What will be a comfortable alternative especially for the pillon in comparison to the rtr 200? Hornet or the Gixxer SF? I have not test driven either so perhaps i should check. Any bike that you guys recommend under 1.2 lacs onroad that does not lack on comfort in city riding and also has low & midrange power? I am not looking for top end performance.

Want to add my opinion for pillion seat, have ridden as pillion in city and on highway too.

                          (+)
Seat is wide enough, no way less than other bike pillion seat.

Seat material is diff than other so that there won't be sore bum after longer ride .

Plush enough to feel comfortable .

                          (-)

Pillion seat is higher than normal (if compared to other bike what people may consider as option)

Sliding happen on medium to hard brake and pillion will ride on back of rider if braked too frequently, like in heavy traffic.(depends on riding habit and how much pillion is aware of road condition).

I will prefer riding as pillion on rtr 200 than gixxer , pulsar and fz because of comfortability it offer.

                          Cheers

Thanks for the feedback. Its seems there are mixed opinions, need to test drive the rtr200 again followed by gixxer and hornet.
