Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Maybe you should check the first 100 pages of the NS thread. People would be praising the bike like for first 5k ka nd the issues will crop up only after that. We just need to wait for a bit more time to see how good the product is. Am yet to ride the bike so I cant comment anything on that part but I saw the bike and I must say that the plastics looks of superior quality compared to AS/NS ..considering the issues, most that 75% of issues arise after people visit "ASS"Originally posted by Arshad Shaikh View Post

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
I have completing 1900kms till today and have also faced only the gear problem. Between 1-N-2, when i am riding on 1st or 2nd, the neutral light comes on many a times showing false neutral, but i think this has to be the problem of sensor, i think the dust on sensor creating this problem. i will get it checked in my 2nd service. Other then that no other problems. Also in the morning or evening when the bike is parked for long need to start it with choke or else it has problems in starting. But i think this is natural as in the manuals they have stated to always use choke while starting after long haul but without accelarating the bike.
Mileage update : 35+ kmpl.

I am making this statement because I am in the process of short listing a bike between apache 200 and as200.Originally posted by NitSpeed200 View PostMaybe you should check the first 100 pages of the NS thread. And have been following both threads from start.
In AS200 thread, problems have been reported from 4-5 page itself

Ride hard ride safe!!
Wondering how it shows 132 when the gear indicator shows Neutral and RPM is nill !!!!!!!!

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
I was supposed to buy the AS200. So had gone through some 140 odd pages. Only niggles. The reasoning being, that all the good things were said in the NS forum
What sort of reasoning is that, they had 2 or 3 years after the NS launched to rectify all the problems. They chose not to.
TVS delivers good quality. Buffed alloy levers and what not. It's just the vibrating engine in my 160 which is making me to change the bike. A 6 years old bike which has faced rain dust etc still doesn't show signs of rust anywhere. So definitely the quality is there.

Please re read the article mentioning what all features RTR 160,180,200 have.Originally posted by peacelover73 View PostThat's really messed up. Fix it soon. Service center mechanics won't have a damn clue about it.
This is top speed recorder, and fyi it will record the last top speed attained on the bike and can be viewed later.Fare thee well xBhp, All the best for being the biggest name in corporate world

May be he doesn't own an RTR or he might not have got the manual. I've heard that there is shortage of manuals now. As funny as it might sound but it has happened.
