Little OT here.. How much time it is taking to get bike registered? Especially in Mumbai. My dealer is saying he took the bike for passing at tardeo RTO on last Thursday and it will take another 8 to 10 days to get the tax receipt and permanent number to come.

Nice [emoji106] .Originally posted by rakowli View PostYou can lock your helmet this way on the handle.
BTW where do you keep the lock(wire) when riding or not locking the helmet ?
have you wrapped the console and switch assembly to protect them in rain ?Do Rev your heart in out or on treadmill After revving you bike's engine.A free flowing and high revving heart will give more happy miles too :)

i keep the lock wire hanging there itself. It doesn't disturb while riding. For switch assembly got the rain protection cover from spare parts shop as its universal. For console didn't get any cover so used the brand new shirt plastic cover to wrap it, as this console is much easier to cover due to no visor and used tapes to stick it. In office its under shade but at home its out in rain so had to protect the digital console. Will remove it after the rain is completely gone.

I think the digital console is water resistant.Originally posted by rakowli View Posti keep the lock wire hanging there itself. It doesn't disturb while riding. I guess console is water proof but for longer parking have to protect it for goodOriginally posted by rakowli View Posti keep the lock wire hanging there itself. It doesn't disturb while riding. .
For lock I was thinking thinner lock wire kind of used for bicycle so the I can wrap it around handle or Sari Guard.(would it be safe?).
your bike is glossy(pearl) white or matt? It seems glossy. mine too
.
For me, its nightmare to park outside under trees. whenever I park it under trees at one friend's place(even for 3 hours), there would be many small small worm shit all over tank, kind of they were waiting to unload the sh*t on bike. so visible on white
and then bird's crap/waste
.

Yes the console cover is for that extra protection as its parked in open for more that 10hrs. Don't want to take the risk. Mine is also glossy but because of the rains haven't been able to keep it clean. Once rain is over will wash it properly and maybe if possible will do teflon coating. As white is more prone to dirt spots.
For me no parking under the trees, its open sky parking into between the buildings.

So confused, whether good or not.
Asked few 3Ms in blr, they told they are working only on cars.
May be I will go with TVS Teflon coating for now in coming 3rd service.(people say SVCs just polish instead of coating [emoji53], not sure though)
TVS SVC quoted around Rs 450 in bangalore.Do Rev your heart in out or on treadmill After revving you bike's engine.A free flowing and high revving heart will give more happy miles too :)

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Okay guys I have booked Gixxer SF black carb double disc variant. 1,06,466 on road Bangalore. My bike their giving 25k. 6 year old RTR160 with 34000kms. Showroom ppl itself are taking the bike.
So need to pay in effect 82500. I'll get the bike immediately, it was a bike in the stockyard. They showed me.
Went to the TVS showrooms, both said their not taking booking of 200 now. Only October end their Gonna take bookings again. Needed a bike immediately, hence the decision to go for the SF.
Anyways I have lost all my trust in TVS. Very depressed, but what to do, they lost a customer who has had cash in hand from January to buy the bike. My mistake was waiting for the ABS variant. Anyways, now need to go to industrial area with crappy roads and hence need more mileage. So 150cc it is :/
Thanks all for your quick replies and hope you all have a great journey ahead. Ciao.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Totally understandable. It was inevitable that TVS would loose a few customers with the limited number of stocks coming to the dealers (compared to the demand) . Even I will start looking at R15S ( higher priced) or Gixxer sf (lower priced) after I get back to Bangalore on coming Monday.Originally posted by vishandy2k View PostOkay guys I have booked Gixxer SF black carb double disc variant. 1,06,466 on road Bangalore. Even I love the SF in black. Looks mean as hell while being a great choice for a commuter bike. Best of luck dude.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Hello guys.
I visited the Showroom today to collect my papers and happened to meet the owner who had 2-3 people on a visit. They were the guys who manage the distribution of TVS across Mumbai. I tried to enquire about less stock and the availability of the ABS and FI variants.
I was clearly told that there is less stock for the carb variant as its booming in sales and the production capacity isn't able to cope with the demands.
The FI and ABS variants are still under testing and TVS hasn't given them an official launch date yet.
Sorry

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Don't think those guys said the truth dude. Considering that the bike is manufactured in India by an Indian manufacturer they should be able to anticipate the demand and fulfil it. But this bike has been plauged by waiting periods rivaling those of superbikes since the beginning (at least in bangalore).Originally posted by sohil View PostHello guys.

As for it being a booming success let them release the no of bikes sold over the past few months and then we can believe it.
The fi/abs (not sure of abs) variant is already being sold abroad I think and Tvs is not selling it in India by choice since the sales in foreign market is important to them.
