Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
No TDs for now.. Suggested them to put the bike next to the glass wall.. that way it will be more visible from road..Originally posted by srp321 View PostLet the rain stop and i will be on my way by 5pm to see that, it's 2km from my office

i assume, they won't be giving a TD as of now?
I would normally check if the bike is on display and it did not appear to.. Luckily i went in to enquire and got a glimse..***Correct me if I am wrong :)

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Good news guys. Century Auto Poona (Bhandarkar road Pune has got stock in Red, white black & Gray and taking booking for deliveries within 5 to 7 weeks. This is with ABS but without Pirelli & Fi. The Carb + ABS + Remora is costing Rs. 1,02,914/- whereas Carb + ABS + Pirelli is for 1,08,601/-
I have booked today paying Rs 5000/- but not yet decided which configuration and color I would have. No TD taken as I am in Abu Dhabi.
Thanks XBHp and you guys to help me in direction; the final push was Motobeam Video on You Tube comparing AS200 & RTR200. I preferred RTR due to perceived good manufacture and usability in city commuting giving less weightage to 6th gear, Liquid cooling, wind Shield etc which AS200 boast of.
My friends, no need for mad rush, I think soon you will have ready stock everywhere of all variants, Thanks to Brexit effect.Last edited by MukundRao; 07-01-2016, 03:58 AM.

ABS launched !!!! Thanks for update. I have booked too but I was waiting for ABS. Thanks for the update. But I doubt the price you have quoted because Carb without abs showroom in Mysore had Quoated 1.08L and with ABS 1.16L.Originally posted by MukundRao View PostGood news guys. Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Yes. Really sad. TVS should have manufactured enough stock before the launch. With even big cities waiting, I guess it will take a year to come to my place.
Bdw did you guys see the matt blue edition that TVS is using for their OneMake race? It looks smoking hot.

Yes, I also had doubt about the price but they quoted by email.Originally posted by Harideep View PostABS launched !!!! Thanks for update. I have booked too but I was waiting for ABS. Brexit - the recent British referendum has made havoc in world economies, India will be in relatively better condition but as all other world economies will suffer, TVS and all Auto Mfgrs. exports will suffer and they must pay more attention to the home market. Read Rajan's yesterdays statement. The recession might be worst than 2008.Last edited by MukundRao; 07-01-2016, 09:18 PM.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Got my Red RTR 200 on 23-6-16.
Booking:
Red and white were available with the dealer, white was already booked and Red was available for immediate delivery, booked it on 21-6-16 evening and took delivery on 23-6-16.For some reason the sales team was not interested in selling the bike that was readily available. Their supervisor had to intervene and booking was accepted. Would have waited for ABS if there was some clarity on the waiting period. None of the dealers had any clue of timelines for color/ABS/pirilli tyres.
Options: Test drove the following before selecting RTR 200
Hornet 160: Had good ride quality. Switch gear were of very low quality, breaks on test drive bike were not impressive
Gixxer: Compact to ride. Tank extensions were flimsy, pillion seat? pillion will be sitting on riders back most of the time. After seeing RTR 200's build quality, Gixxer felt its not worth 96000
RTR 200: Initially bike looked big, but was effort less to drive. Build quality was good.
Decided to go with RTR 200 base model for 1,05,500. After riding RTR 200, other two bikes felt they were not worth 96,000.
I have done 310 kms till now, following are my initial impresion on the bike:
- Over all build is good
- It can easily change direction, weaving through traffic is effort less.
- Breaks are good, not too sharp but progressive.
- TVS Remora tyres provide good dry/wet grip.
- Exhaust note is bassy and addictive. When you go in closed places the bass note it too deep almost like theater effect!
- Seat height is increased compared to earlier RTR's. Shorter riders may find it difficult to touch the ground.
- Seat's are comfortable. Seat material prevents the pillion form sliding to the front during breaking. Some times the seat makes squeaking sound if you try to move the bike while sitting on it. Its strictly only for two, no place for kids.
- Suspension it good, but I prefer it to be little softer. will adjust it during the first service.
- There is a whoosh/whistle sound when we decelerate from 4k to 3k rpm (like the one we here all the time in the pulsar's)
- Tyre huger could has been designed better. There are two pieces now, but its splashing mud every where. Some thing like R15 should serve the the purpose.
Being a very new new bike on road, it gets more attention on road. People would wait/slow down to enquire/complement about the bike.
Will add more information after first service.

Since you have a yellow apache lying behind your Red200 can you by any chance take some side by side comparison pictures? Iy will give a good idea about the seat height and the over all size.Originally posted by aravindsr7 View PostGot my Red RTR 200 on 23-6-16.

This. This is what I've been trying to convey. You just cannot compare those 150cc bikes to this. They are only priced as much, everything else are 150 segment stuff.Originally posted by aravindsr7 View PostGot my Red RTR 200 on 23-6-16.
