Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Is this the base variant (carb+remora+non-abs)?? What was the waiting period?
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
Yes it's the base variant carb+remora+nonABS.
Actually no waiting period . we were lucky that they have only one matte red color UN allotted bike at stock yard. And the other readily available colours are matte black and grey.. ;-)Its always better to sweat than to bleed. Wear helmet.
Ride Hard .. Ride Safe. And Ride Responsibly.

So, can we assume that they have launched the base variant in matte red also? That being the case, I am ready to wait otherwise will look into the matte black color.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Took home this beauty Last week
.
I had booked Red color withe Pirelli in March but did not get any info from dealer.
I went last week's Wednesday to take my booking amount back to buy another bike and they were ready to return the booking amount.
just out of curiosity I asked them if they can give me the display bike in white with TVS Tyre they have inside and the sales person agreed
.
So it happened, and I think I am loving the white color
.
I have few questions from other RTR 200 owners and other riders, Please help.
- Did you guys change the engine oil at delivery? In Owner manual it has been written to use TVS fully synthetic Oil and I have heard at this forum and others that during engine breaking we should use mineral oil.
- RAM air assist tube, why its only on right side ? Though the vent is on both side .I asked during delivery and they told its from factory setting, we are not getting tube for both side. I hope I will post the pic of tube that blow air from vent to engine head.
- I know that my bike was display one, but it has 0 KM on ODO. I checked the tires , engine and other parts and they seemed very new, no use mark at all, though foot pegs were dirty(I guess it was because of people who were coming to see and putting their legs on that ).
what KM reading your bike had and is it normal to have 0 KM on ODO. - I am new to bike, my bike stall at 2nd most of the time, even my friends who ride P180 and Gixxer felt the same. Is it because of its new or it has different characteristic or we need to rev little bit more than other bike?
- more question coming through

My first post on this forum, excuse for any mistake and please suggest for improvement( I have read the FAQ
)
Okay, I am little jealous of guy who got the red one
.
Cheers .Do Rev your heart in out or on treadmill After revving you bike's engine.A free flowing and high revving heart will give more happy miles too :)

Do invest in good riding gears and full face helmet.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
So No FI version on sale even in the southern part of country?
Any idea when FI will go on sale? ABS was announced long back.. When will it come, any communication from the company?
TVS is ridiculously slow in making the bike available and its getting on nerve...
In Pune, They don't even have a display bike yet.. forget deliveries...
Okay, one more query - There was a news saying ABS could be retrofitted. If this could be confirmed from showroom i plan to pick carb version to satisfy the itch and install ABS as its available.. Can anyone confirm if the news was authentic..Last edited by ZMAtic; 06-29-2016, 06:18 PM.***Correct me if I am wrong :)

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Wow! While thinking so much about the PROs of a carb I forgot about this part!Originally posted by dineshaugustin View PostFew people would prefer carb bikes because we can play with tuning and can get different response from the bike as per ones liking. but in FI version we cant do anything. But one thing to notice is that if you know well about carb tunning, then it is going to be fine or otherwise if the mechanic changed the tuning by mistake during service and if the performance/mileage is not satisfactory then u got to solely rely on mechanic and with some luck you may get the tuning which you prefer. So having carb may give headache sometimes and not to mention the cold start if it happens.
I did consider the cold starts but the rest just came to me when you said
Well then i will definately need to get the FI unit.
