Hey bro, can you give me some advice on how to launch the bike? I tried to and accidentally pop a wheelieOriginally posted by JS16 View PostThe clutch on the 200 makes me feel that the clutch on my 180 is fried
But few people find it heavy, i find it perfect for launch though.
Coming to the brakes, the rear one is amazing. Front is the same as the 160/180 and you might feel its small. But the braking performance isn't affected. The front suspension was soft on the 1st batch bikes, the newer one's are much stiffer and braking is top class. Very good feel and feedback from both brakes.
I'm sure though many will complain that front brake doesn't have good bite, fact is RTR's front brakes only work well after it has covered ~1000kms.
Hope this helps!
As I lay rubber down the street, I pray for traction I can keep
But if I spin and begin to slide, please dear God, protect my sweet ride

The clutch is very good for launches.
Press and hold the clutch! Lock the RPM at 6500. Slowly release the clutch from it's bite point and accelerate. Shift near to 8500-9000 RPM. You'll easily get 0-60 under 3.9 seconds.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
I did Check with SVSC and also a fellow Apache Rider had said that can be corrected but it remains the same after the first service though service guys had oiled it, but its ok it doesn't give any trouble while riding. Its actually the seat fabric rubbing against the plastic of the body that with the play gives the sound, The pillion seat is fixed properly and there is no play or sound from it.Originally posted by JS16 View PostThe play is abnormal. Please check if the seat is been fixed properly. It's not really a squeak but you can ask them to put a drop of oil at the lock point. It'll be fine.Last edited by AbiRam; 07-25-2016, 09:49 AM.

Hopefully TVS sticks to the timeline mentioned on it. This makes me think I should have waited a few more months for the FI-ABS variant, Nonetheless the current Carb variant does not let me down as far as I have ridden till now. Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Guys, can any of the owners give the engine RPM to road speed relation in the 5th gear. I'm really interested to know how well it'll do for the weekend rides, and what would be a comfortable speed to cruise at, anything in the vicinity of 90-110 would do. And if the experience is at hand, how much fuel consumption can one expect at such a range, ergo, what is the range of the bike on a comfortable cruising speed. I read in the 10,000km excursion about 32kmpl when continuously ripped, I don't plan to do that.
Each time I take my bike out for a long-ish ride, I can't stop thinking of upgrading
One of my close buddies takes out his D200 with my bike, and I can't stop apologizing for the delays I cause. My 10/10ths is probably his 4/10ths

@4500rpm -50kmph-5thgear climbing up with the rpm on 5th at approx. 8500 it touches the triple digit mark for further reference you can check the top Speed runs of RTR 200 on youtube. As of yet I haven't tried the fast acceleration since I am below the 1000kms and not crossed 6000 rpm on any gear.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Thanks for confirming buddy. The spare is not available as of now (as expected). Can you post the picture of original setup on 200, if you have one, that might help me with some jugaad for the time being.Originally posted by marmiteminer View PostYep the breather pipe is missing. This is crucial. Otherwise dust may enter the engine chamber.
Please call TVS regional sales manager, contact dealer about this. But to get this spare part, it may take a long time.Aashish Paul

Hey man, I have marked in red line which hole to put in the pipe. the Red "triangle" I have drawn is a dead end, nothing to connect there, but a rubber valve fits there to prevent water entry.
For Jugaad, I have an idea:
1) Go to a big Hero spares shop, ask for CBZ- Xtreme breather pipe, it should fit, just length might be long, cut as needed.
2) Ask for cbz-xtreme airbox bottom rubber valve (fits in the triangle area I drawn, for all bikes).

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
rakowli Run in pattern for the bike is mentioned on the User manual which is to maintain a speed of 50kmph max and avoid traffic for the Initial 350kms before 1st service. But on the contrary its better to at least keep it under 60 kmph and not exceed 5000 rpm on any gear until the 1st service and once the oil change is done gradually increase the speed based on an increment of 1000 rpm until the engine sets in. Preferably try not to increase your speed above 60 till you reach 1000 on the odometer.Originally posted by rakowli View PostCan anyone confirm me the Run-in pattern for this bike
What speed limit to maintain and how many kms?
Everyday highway ride to maintain low speed is going to be difficult for me.
