Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Hi the Devil glad that you got your bike but you do have to control your excitement before the first run in period. I did also lose my mind for awhile when i got my ride, but later learned about the science of run in period and since then i never had a hard ride. Its basically the engine is new, the cylinder liner and the piston will need to rub in a very linear manner, before the first service if the engine is run in lower rpm , there will be not much of vibration and the minute dust like particles due to friction will mix with the engine oil once this oil is replaced in the first service you can start raising and speed up a bit more. But if you run in higher rpm before your first service the engine will tend to vibrate and friction will be non linear ,the Cylinder liner and the piston wear be more of oval shape than the usual cylindrical shape leading to faster bore out of the cylinder. Hope it gave you some insight on the engine run in period.Originally posted by the devil View PostWill it cause any damage to the bike eh bro driving it above 90 during the first 20 kms
