Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Carbs are easy to adjust , rather in our country mechs are more used to to carbs than fi.
Fi gives better mileage and removes the adjustment thing with change in height or other things that affects afr
Fi churns tiny bit of more power, and fi is more linear and punchierFare thee well xBhp, All the best for being the biggest name in corporate world

Done 300KM and mostly in rain, no issue in the bike but on hard braking at 20-30 speed in wet surface bike skid little bit.
Bike is worth every bit of your money, sure go for it.
I am running carb version.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
ABS and Pirelli tires will be available on all versions. Whether Carb or Fi. I think by going through the comments the USB charger is available only for Fi variant. Odd thing that is.
Fi variant gives better throttle response than carb. You'll get smooth power delivery as compared to carb variants. But carb tuning and maintenance is easier/cheaper. Also, I read somewhere (maybe wrong) that Fi bikes should have some minimum amount of petrol in the tank. Don't know, someone can shed some light on this.

Yes or the injectors will go kaput. Which will be costly affair to repair/ changeOriginally posted by vishandy2k View PostAlso, I read somewhere (maybe wrong) that Fi bikes should have some minimum amount of petrol in the tank. Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
I visited TVS dealer here in Pune and asked about FI - teh asles guy there told me that they are not sure about its launch date and it could take at least 3-4 months.
BTW, I don't like where they have placed the front number-plate. A simple 'L-connector' would allow it to be placed below headlight. Did anyone try this.
The current position simply does not go with the looks of this otherwise beautiful bike!

Same here. When I asked the dealer in Kolkata about FI + ABS + Pirelli version he gave me a blank look. It's unrealistic when dealers say that they are not aware of the expected launch dates of a new model or version. It's not like TVS will inform the dealer just a day before actually launching it.
I believe they do it purposefully in order to sell the existing stock.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
I read somewhere that the carb version is not compliant as per the new 2017 pollution norms , so I presume that they are trying to sell as many as possible before the norms kick in, this could be the reason for not selling th Fi version along with the carb, so I expect it to be in the market only in 2017

And we are so used to dhakka start , which may not be possible in Fi version😂Originally posted by leech View PostAfaik it's the fuel pump which needs to be immersed in petrol, else it may burn off. Said pump costs 26k in the CBR250.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Guys, looks like the fuel gauge in my RTR 200 is a bit erroneous. Sometimes it changes at will. For example, today while coming from office I started with 1 bar but after about 15-20 minutes, it started showing 2 bars (no, i did not refuel it). This has happened earlier too from 2 bars to 3 bars and then after about 40 minutes of ride down to 1 bar.
I had put in Rs. 500 worth of petrol just once after purchase and now the odo reads 188 kms. When I took the delivery it read 3.3 kms. Still have not used the reserve oil.
Is there anything to worry about or will it get better with time?
