hello guys. need help here...!!!!!!!!!!!!i called the showroom today asking for a matt black. they told me the have only white in their ready stock. they told me to book it today so that i can get it tomorrow. i stay far away from the showroom so i told them i'm not able to make the booking today. i'll get the bike in full cash tomorrow if u can arrange the matte black. they told me they'll let me know if they get one. after an hour got a call from the showroom that they r arranging a matte black for me that i'll get it tomorrow. i'm affraid that, they ride the bike from their warehouse all the way to the showroom?? or they have some towing services ? and how how do i found if the bike was on test ride before in another showroom?? can they able to remove the highspeed archived recorder on the console? what to look for the bike is in fully new condition?? thank u for reading soo much.... please guys help me. i'm going to the showroom tomorrow morning. please guys hurry up

Its high chance they already had matte black and wanted money upfront so that you cant back off later.

Now coming to the test ride bike. First of all, yes normally they do cut off the odo of these bikes, but still check the odo, it should not be more than 10-15kms. Then check for tyres, you know how new tyres look, they also have a colorred line on them (like by a crayon or colored pencil)

How far is the warehouse from the showroom, generally its within a km. You do the pdi and ride it till showroom, simple

As mentioned in some above post, you will get the bill of payment, a temp number would be given till the time RC and original number is given. You dont need PUC for a new bike for one year, you will get insurance paper too

Thanks bro... I got registration receipt and tax receipt and insurance papers. Also manuals for the bike. Toolkit was not there so have informed them about the same.
My speedometer is disconnected and is not working now they will connect it tomorrow.. so that means you can disconnect the cable and ride the bike everywhere...you cannot trust any dealer in this...my bike might be used for a small test ride as test ride bikes are not available easily because of shortage of bike.

Do the Pre delivery check at the warehouse itself, go with them, high chance they are hiding something.

Dude you need to chill out. The attitude you need to have is not of excitement or even fear at getting conned by the showroom guys. Think of the mindset that you have when buying groceries (you know comparing prices seeing which product is better quality and checking on the expiry date) that kind of attitude will probably serve best.

Experienced members have already given their advice.. Keep that in mind with the above mindset and remember you can always refuse to take delivery of a bike you don't like. They can't force it on to you.

Finally best of luck and congrats in advance.

PS. Sorry mods know this is OT....just thought would help him out.

For all who are buying a new bike, don't worry too much , just go to the showroom pick up your bike and enjoy the experience of buying a new bike, what really matters is how you take of the bike in the long run
                      Cheers

                          Hello Harideep,

No im not giving any strokes to any one but just sharing some information of what i got from the Bangalore dealer.

6 Months is a lot of time mate and thanks for information. I would wait untill September and then take a decision.

What my understanding according to your words is we would definitely get a signal from TVS by this end of the Month or starting week of September to start the bookings of ABS.Please enlighten me.

He was accompanying a group of 2 Harleys, 3 RC390s, 2 Hyosung 650s, A Benelli etc. His take on the bike is that, even at 100-110, the bike is supremely stable, even with medium crosswinds. But he observed that, at 120 and above, the rear of the bike fishtails slightly (he's also not sure whether it's the bike he got that had the issue or is it common among all). Anyways he has a very positive review of the bike. Watch the video to see how easily it stays composed on uneven mud roads..
Why will a bike fishtail when going straight? Fishtailing happens on braking mate. If his bike fishtails, maybe he should check for issues.
And these are the two video reviews i always stay away from. Dino and RWR. His accent is too British, giving Britishers a heart attack!

And new bike buyers- soon to be owners, please relax. As someone said, this aint grocery. They all pass quality control and then reach you.

hey guys i bought my apache 200 today matt black. in pictures it looks average but when u sit on the bike and muscular tank infront of u is amazing. i didn't took any test ride before buying this bike. i gathered some knowledge and experience as well from this thread.. they arranged me the bike (matte black) from another place for me as it is sunday today so all the tvs ware house were closed (as they told me).when i reached there they were washing mud form the bike and cleaning job. (they rode the bike from the ware house to the showroom 35 kms) so i told them to clean it as it is a new bike looks.. then i'll see and then i'll decide. they said okafter the cleaning job i told them to take the bike out of the showroom in the day light. and then i inspect all the things senior members advised me in this thread. after the inspection session i head towards the paper works. asked them well about the insuarance, registration etc. made the payment 1 lac 14 thousand in cash (kolkata onroad) then the showroom guy told me the feature of the console. i cheked there the highest speed was 101 kmph (they told me that was done when the manufacturer tested it) there were another white rtr 200 i also checked that was also same 101kmph. anyway we left the showroom and headed for the fuel refil done full tank. but the fuel marks doent showing anything it was showing tank is empty, we waited on the petrol pump thinking there might be some delay of fuel reading.but waiting after 10minutes wasn't showing anything. so decided to go back to the showroom. one mechanic of there showroom MR. JOY SARKAR was Very helpful he looked into my problem and said there was a problem with the floater situated in the tank. he told me not to worry i'll change the floater from the white rtr on the display bike. so he started draining my bikes fuel to a drum , then he open the tank portion and changed the floater from the white rtr. i checkd every thing is okay.... then went of from the showroom . it was raining on the way home after riding of 20/25 kms there was sound like tyre puncture idk where is the sound coming fom. my friend told me it was coming from the exhaust maybe. heard the sound 3/4 times on the way home (45km). and the worst part i didn't told my parent i was going to a buy bike. after i came home they are not talking to me a word till now.... i wish things get better tomorrow morning . pray for me guys... i want them to talk to me like before
