Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Hi all
I am following this thread from day 1 and it's been very informative.
My query is for the the quality of bike, vibration, weight, stability and service cost with respect to Suzuki Inazuma.
I used to own the one and it was one of the best motorcycle in 250CC category. I sold it just due to weight issue and not having many long drive, which was the intended use. With hardly 500 kms per month ride, the service charge was not getting justified.
I want almost same bike minus weight and service cost. I know twin parallel is not possible, but can I assume that all other characteristics will be met by this bike?
If not this, then I may wait for RTR 300 or CBR250RR.
Thanks for reading long post

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
guys want to share experience of one of the tvs showroom in kolkata. i steped in to the showroom and guy came to me. i told him that wanted to see the a200. and want to hear the sound of exhaust. guy said when are u planning to buy ? i replied after 20-25 days. he said u can come that day when u are buying. as i am a 26year old avrg height boy they thought i'm just wasting their time and will not buy. i took some pics of the 200 and came back. and my question is do u guys think that they will give me a test ride the day i'm buying??

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
They should have given you test ride when you had visited today if test bike was available with them, it's not at all necessary that you have to buy/book a bike then only you will get a test ride. Complain it on TVS website and request a test ride.Originally posted by SamI'm View Postguys want to share experience of one of the tvs showroom in kolkata. i steped in to the ??

. There are kids who do TD for fun and experience riding new bike so they hesitate to give Bike for few of them.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
It has been confirmed by Honda India that CBR250rr as well as the CBR300r (split headlamp one) will not be coming to India in the foreseeable future.Originally posted by fatfatia View PostHi all

They just started testing the Akula 310 / RTR300. A spyshot was seen recently, and from front at least almost resembles the concept. But TVS being TVS they'll take their time to bring out a solid product. Mostly mid 2017.
So I guess you can check out the RTR200.
Comparing the power to weight ratio, the Inazuma and the RTR200 are almost similar. So there's no power deficit you'll face.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Hello Friends, I'm planning to purchase the Apache rtr 200 4v Fi+abs version. I was reading that it would be launched around September. Can anyone comment on the expected price of this version? I am from Kolkata and I visited TVS dealer for a test ride of the bike. They only have the carb version with tvs tyres. I absolutely fell in love with the bike's refined engine. NB The on road price they're quoting for the basic carb version is 1.14 lacs. As I am ready to wait for the Fi + abs version I would like to know the additional amount it's going to cost me.

Expected by the first quarter. Very soon actually.. You may be surprised. All they need to decide is that if they want a faired motorcycle or Naked.
Yes you are right, It shouldn't be a problem for him! Inazuma and this have similar performance levels. This being much lighter but as stable as it gets.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
I got the test ride from Shaw tvs Baguiati...I primarily saw the Matt grey and maybe I spotted a black...the thing is I was so engrossed with the test ride vehicle that didn't think too much about the colour at that time...

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
That's a very difficult question to answerOriginally posted by SamI'm View Post----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
. I'm waiting for FI variant as I read somewhere that ABS will be launched with FI only. Plus there would be a USB charging point available with FI version. I believe FI will give deliver better power output and more refined ride compared to carb version. I'm no expert on this subject and I may be wrong so please feel free to correct me.
Having said that carb version is no slouch when it comes to power and refinement.
