Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Why are you guys doing engine flush on a new bike ? If I'm not worng many new engines don't need one.Originally posted by rakowli View PostCompleted the first servicing today. Changed engine oil but before that they put engine flush liquid and then changed the oil. Top up the rear brake fluid as it was less and sparyed the chain lube after washing. Overall good service and got the bike in less than 2 hours. Bike is again smooth and vibe less. Completed 850 kms so now can ride it normally not too rough and fast but can go till 90 now. Enjoying the bike.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Company services advisors will try anything to increase the bill, I have experienced this many times with Tata motors for my car and even Honda motorcycles , best to follow the manual if it is there in the manual do it if not strictly tell them no, the manual is written by engineers who design these vehicles so you can't go wrong
Cheers

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Yes I now it is normally done on older bikes but this was the first service so I thought it would remove all the small particles stuck in the engine. I have also read somewhere on net that it is good the use engine flush when changing synthetic oil as it cleans the engine and oil performs much better.Originally posted by Dandamudi Mohan Krishna View PostWhy are you guys doing engine flush on a new bike ? Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Using this oil will require 2 bottles as 1.2ltrs is required for change. Maybe will try later after I complete the free servicing from TVS.Originally posted by tanishq View PostMotul 300 V 15W 50 300 V FL Road Racing 15W50 Synthetic Motor Oil

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Exactly! The chain lubrication is Rs30 in Bangalore. And what are these other consumables?Originally posted by Punto@bang View Post^^ This is supposed to be a free service right?
If it is why labour charges applied pretty confusing.
And engine flush? Not at all needed, way to rip off money! Go talk to them.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
I've finished two services for my A200 and both the times I got call from service center asking for my feedback. If you get a call asking for feedback inform them that you will give bad rating as they charged you for labour. I'm sure next time they will not try to charge extra from you.Originally posted by rakowli View PostCompleted the first servicing today. PS: I bought my machine in Bangalore Ashwa and getting service done at my hometown Aarya TVS and when service is due Ashwa motors keep calling me to bring it for service. So I'm happy with the support I'm getting from both ASC 😁😁

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
I think 110 can be maintained without any stress on engine because above that it takes a bit time to climb and will stress the engine. To be safe 100-110 would be better. Thats as per what I have ridden this bike till now. Have gone up to that speed just once but not maintained it. Still 50 more to complete 1000kms. Completed the 1st service.Originally posted by Vishal Rohra View PostCan one maintain riding speed of 110 -120 while riding highways without stressing the engine on this bike?
