Should I wait further for this bike or start taking a serious look at Pulsar AS200. There is a delta difference in the price between these two. I really would love to not have to take it to the service centre for the kind of issues mentioned above, atleast for the first 2.5-3 years. I own a 4-wheeler and looking to buy the bike primarily because I want to own one. I am not looking towards selling the bike before atleast 4-5 years from now. Its a long term thing for me.

    Please advice..
My friend has been riding his Pulsar 180 for 10 years now, and has clocked 85000 kms on it. It still performs great. I said that because it comes down to your preference. Naked vs semi-faired, power & looks.

I've ridden AS200 and it's a great bike. I've also test ridden RTR200 and it's a great bike too, but it doesn't rev freely maybe because it's oil-cooled, but very good for city. I'm pretty sure this won't be suitable for highways as there is zero wind protection.

    Does that smell fishy?
    Yep, 100%.

      Hi,
He's not sure about any issues as of now. He just reported his observations. They may or maybe not be an issue at all.
Personally I've ridden a brand new 200 for 1500kms and I found absolutely no issue with anything. Moreover I find it the perfect replacement for my RTR180.
2 more friends who own the bike have completed 2 services i.e. 2000kms+ and they are as happy as it gets. They also own the RTR 160 & 180 too.
Sometimes you feel we have an issue when you don't really have one because the motorcycle is brand new and takes time to understand the motorcycle.

And I read in one of the posts saying Oil cooled bikes don't revv as freely as the Liquid cooling one's which is not really the case.

And yes, Fi should be out by August I hope.

Note : Nobody pays me a single rupee in helping people out. My experiences with different motorcycles and friends who own them let me give the feedback back here.
For eg : If i had to choose between the R15 and CBR150, I would choose the R15 eyes closed. That doesn't really make me a Yamaha Fanboy, or does it?!

They don't. Liquid cooled bikes have higher RPMs and rev freely. That's just how it is. You will also feel it after hopping from a liquid-cooled bike to an air/oil-cooled one.

            Hello!
My knowledge and Contacts do say that it'll be available by August. Right now all of them are being sent to Indonesia. The carb one is amazing too, but then Fi will be easier to ride in all the conditions. Eg: higher altitudes and everything..

You waited so long, I think you should wait for 15 more days to see. Anyway Carb variants are available now.
            Regards

Idk, but they seem to launch their bikes in Bangalore before they launch it anywhere else. I'll keep you updated on the same.
