Try using some application next time, to get the accurate speed.
tvs claims just 129, there must be a bit more.

Dude.. every bike is off to 4 to 5kmph... The reason why i said 130+ becoz i have touched 140.. so happly it will be around 130 to 135kmph.. manufacturers always claims the effort less topspeed. Its upto u how much u can churn out the power from a meachine 😬

Error can be 1kmph to 10+kmph.

The ktms speedo were considered realy accurate, still the Speedo indicated 135kmph on duke is just 127kmph & 145 on Duke250 is 138.

So yes 146 can be anything between 136-146kmph.
                  And the error multiples.

Shall check this on mine and revert tomorrow!

Quick query : I've regularly heard that the braking setup on the RTR is excellent.

The thing is, having ridden a FZ16 for nearly 4 years prior to buying the RTR, and the brakes on it had instant feedback and bite. I mean, so little was the lever movement required that I mostly used just my index finger to brake, even in sudden stops.

Coming to the RTR, I am finding the brakes a bit 'soft', after the initial bit of riding I've done today. It sure requires a fair bit more of lever movement to firmly engage the front brake. Obviously, I'm short on braking confidence due to this. Are the brakes normally so spongy or do I need to change my braking habit /mechanism.??

Congrats for the new ride bro. The brakes will take around 500 kms to properly bed in. Definitely it requires more pressure than FZ, but once the brakes are properly bed, the feedback is quite good. You will need to be careful about rear brake as it's quite easy to lock.
Also, you may want to lower the front brake lever than stock setting as the lever will be easier to reach.

Shall keep that in mind! Gotta avoid panic braking scenarios till I get to terms with the setup.

                                Thanks.
