https://youtu.be/fRrpGX-SH4o Headlamp performance comparison between Dominar 400 and RTR 200.

Good thing about 200 is that it shares a lot of parts with RTR 180/160 like mirrors, oil filter, levers (brake, clutch, gear) front brake etc. So we can safely say that maintenance costs will be at par with its siblings.
The stock lighting on the Apache looks pretty decent!

RTR's low beam has nice spread, which is useful especially when going over bad roads. High beam is focussed, but it needs to be adjusted as per user's convenience.
On many of the RTR's, it is focused directly on oncoming traffic which is not good. It's better to get it adjusted so that rider can make good use of high beam and also not blind the oncoming traffic.

Hope this video will help fellow RTR riders to maintain their ride.
Thanks for you video Traveller01, My bike developed a weird sound from chain rubbing on a part especially when on the first two gears and also clumsy gear shifts. Even after repeated plea to SVC they never managed to rectify it. Finally I took up myself to solve the issue , opened the gear sprocket cover to find loads of muck , cleaned the whole area and chain and lubed the chain. Now the bike seems to have got back it's glory. Your videos are a real eye opener for many of us, keep them coming.
Happy and safe riding.
Thanks and regards,

That's a great video there, but I would recommend rotating the rear wheel by yourself rather than putting in 1 st gear as that could cause serious harm to your fingers.

Very happy that the video proved to be useful to you. Great job there, I find there is a weird satisfaction in sorting out issues of our own ride by ourselves.

Yes, be very careful from the running chain (even the video says so multiple times & includes a warning video of what could happen in the end). The running chain was used only for spraying & brush application where there was no physical contact with the running chain. Spraying cleaner/degreaser/diesel on the running chain takes helps from the centrifugal force produced to bring out all the dirt mixed/dissolved with the cleaner (washing machine principle). If you see in rest of the video all the cleaning work was done with engine off.
Thanks for bringing back the safety aspect again for all the readers/riders here.

On my new RTR 200 every time I shift the gear down(while slowing down) , there's a knock sound(takk[emoji51]). This does not happen in very slow speed(15-30kmph)
Heard only during medium speeds (35-50kmph). And I even apply the clutch properly. Is it normal or I need to take it to service center?please reply
Thanks

It is normal, happens on every bike.

nrnitesh, Throttle blipping during downshifts may help a little bit.

Hi all, mine is a Matte red version 700km young. I have an issue with Fuel lid lock mechanism. The lock is easy to open and is difficult to lock it shut. Is this same with all RTRs? I am afraid that I will bend my key one day struggling with this lock.

PS : I am new to RTR, my earlier experiences was with TVS star, Splendor and Jupiter. So am not used to this sort of mechanism.

Thanks

Hi Anand1983, congrats for your new ride. Fuel lid is a bit tight in RTR's but it is easy to lock.
Once fuel lid is open, rotate the key clockwise and using another hand, press the lid(not key). Once the lid settles into tank, rotate the key anticlockwise and take it out.
You will need to use both hands to lock the lid.

They are OK in servicing the bike. They have 2 service centers one in West and one in East. The west one is much better because they have trained staff for RTR 200 specially. So the issues if any will be resolved much faster. After servicing is done before taking the bike check the Engine oil level as they tend to pour less oil then recommended.
and last but not the least enjoy the bike.

Ho guys..
I changed my rtrs tyres today.
My bike has clocked 11200kms.
The stock tyres were decent.
But recently started facing some grip issues especially with the rear tyre.
So i decided to go for a change.
I bought the 140/70 Mrf Masseter tyre.
Got it after emailing Mrf as it wasn't available in Pune. Was very happy with their response as they arranged the tyre in a day.
Fitted a regular zapper 90/90 tyre on the front.
Will post the tyre reviews soon.
Till then ride safe and enjoy.
Posting some pictures..stock rear tyre condition..
