Hornet was the most horrible one. I felt like I can just rip apart the parts with bare hand.
I had a hornet and have used the NS 200. I can say for sure that the fibre parts on the hornet are certainly better than those on the bajaj or yamaha. Had a crash on the hornet and the side fairing extension did not crack but got scratched badly. Bajaj in general has poor fit and finish. Have observed a lot of fairing rattles on the RS200 in our bikers group.

I you were to observe the rear indicators of the fz/fz25 or for that matter any other yamaha or bajaj bike on the road you will invariably see that indicators rattling when the bike is moving. Not so on a Honda. The finish of the fibre parts on a Honda may not look premium but is certainly decently built IMO.
IMO the fibre parts on an Apache seems to be one of the better built bikes wrt fit and finish.

One more reason I felt Hornet was poor because, I had CBR 250 on my side to compare the quality. Hornet was no way near to CBR 250. It was like chalk and cheese. I really hope companies will provide same kind of quality to all the category irrespective of it is premium or entry level.

Just like KTM. They provide the same quality irrespective of it is 125cc or 390cc. But they draw the premium for the quality they provide. Which is acceptable.

Really can't say that.. I own RTR 200, I can spot many flaws in RTR 160.
Starting from the paint scheme to way you open the seat.

So I found a used rtr 200 and will be getting it by monday, its run around 16k kms and the chain seems to be in a bad condition so does the rear tyre theres hardly any treads on it. Can you guys suggest if I should stick with the remoras or get something else entirely? I did search through this thread earlier and saw some suggestions like Masseter.
Also curious how much does the chain sprocket set costs, trying to find how much more the upkeep would be for this bike compared to my old pulsar. Is there any price list for spare parts for this bike?

MRF Massaters are one of the best ones if ur into cornering & stuff. But do check the stock tyre size. Also seek MSRPs if Masseters aren't available.

Plus if chain set is messed up then he probably did used the bike rash.

The bike s tyres are both the stock remoras if that's what you re asking. I think the stock size is 130/70 17 iirc, I wish to tour a little on the bike with a pillion which tyre would you suggest? Cornering isn't the main requirement.

Hi all, I'm Kushagra Sengar owner of 2017 tvs apache rtr200, the motorcycle is a wonderful product however the after sales is really poor in Northen part of India, I'm living in lucknow and today itself i went to the main service center of tvs which is speed tvs and i asked if there is an availability of headlight housing and break line of the rtr200 and the spare part supervisor asked me to look in the local motor market and leave the service center, i've been calling the customer care since morning no one is there to pick my call up and now i am completely blank as of what to do.
Agreed that the matte colour has stopped in production but this is not the way you treat customers... need support and suggestions as what to do now. :/

I think he was kind of rash to but worse problem was he didn't clean or maintain his chain when I checked out the bike the chain was completely dry and gunky. It was really loud and you could hear the chain at every speed. How much do you think the chain sprocket costs on this bike ?
                            Thanks

U should write to TVS about it, they have contact details on website. Meanwhile looking locally wouldn't hurt as I have found genuine things for almost half the price outside SVC.
For brake lines, seek for steel braided ones as they are an improvement over anything.

Even if it is touring u want masseters are excellent pick & they are better than remora. Masseters are almost as good as Pirellis (available earlier as options).
