Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
What he says it correct. It is the exhaust weld that has given up. It is not a manufacturing detect but whenever (if) it shows up, it can be replaced under warranty. Older bikes have 2 years or 24k KMs warranty and newer bikes have 5 years or 60k KMs warranty (whichever comes earlier). The whole exhaust assembly costs 12-14k, if it has to be replaced outside warranty. If you're under warranty, do escalate to TVS Customer Care via email.Originally posted by a_shirke8 View Post

Rs. 320~ for a pair approx. The old Apache's rear pads cost something similar, IIRC. The prices have been increased for sure.Originally posted by Aswinlogi View PostHi biker brothers,
May I know how much the brake pad (a pair) costs? [ For apache 200 ]

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
It's highly unlikely, I enquired about it at a local dealership who've began rolling out the new model. The guy himself had no idea whether it's possible. It's still unclear.Originally posted by imashish2789 View PostTVS smart xconnect with Bluetooth launched for Apache. Any1 has information if it is for new models or for the existing ones also with an upgrade? How much does that upgrade costs?
But keeping in mind, the crash detection system, G-Force monitor, race track stats etc I believe there's a lot of sensors at play in the new system. So even if it's upgradeable it'll probably be a costly affair.
Maybe a tweet to TVS might fetch an appropriate answer to your question, they're quite responsive to user complaints & queries there.Ride safe.

TVS has virtual parts catalog in their website, here you can click on the red dots the bike and it will show you the basic components part number and split up.
Note: Check the first page of this thread, I've added the parts catalog and the links thereof. You can download them and use it for your reference.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Hi, I just made an account on this website and I hope this is the appropriate thread to post this. I own the R 2.0 ABS Model and have done close to 1k KMs since taking delivery. Around the end of July the bike started to exhibit an unusual problem that I couldn't find a solution for in the forums. The ignition/self start wouldn't work despite the kill switch being on and the battery not being low. Holding the starter switch down for a few seconds or sometimes few minutes would eventually make it start up. On a few occasions I had to push the bike because it simply refused to start and the bike doesn't have a kickstart. Matrix TVS Mira road where I get my bike serviced said the battery needed to be replaced and claimed to have checked the wiring and the switches and didn't find any fault in them. The battery replacement took a month to arrive and the bike continued to have the same issue with the temporary battery installed. The problem continued with the new battery as well after which I made them open up the Switch panel on the right handlebar. The technician reconnected all the cables which didn't seem to make any difference and said that the self start switch needs to be replaced. So while I wait for the replacement switch to arrive under warranty they have installed a temporary replacement which like the temporary battery has not made any difference. Haven't contacted customer care yet but I will if the replacement switch doesn't fix the issue. If anyone has a solution or recommendation on how to diagnose the problem then please let me know.

Sometimes it will just be a small issue but the showroom dummies can't figure it out.
If even after the switch change it fails then they will suggest to change the wiring kit.
Don't agree to all these nonsense. Demand for a replacement with another new Motorcycle don't compromise on these matters.Originally posted by Bobbert View PostHi, I just made an account on this website and I hope this is the appropriate thread to post this. I think you are facing more or less same issue as to me.Originally posted by Bobbert View PostHi, I just made an account on this website and I hope this is the appropriate thread to post this. My bike is just 6 months old and has ran 3500+ kms.
It was all good till second service and few days before second service, the bike refused to start and the display goes off and reset automatically. There is no issue in using horn and other electrical.
ASC said relay has gone and will replace under warranty and did the same. But exactly after a month, the same issue happened.
This time I went to main dealership at city (NP TVS MADURAI) and asked to resolve and complete third free service.
They said they have resolved but within 4-5 kms from asc, again the same issue happened. Asked them to check and replace battery.
Next day asc called and asked to take bike and nothing wrong with battery.
Now again after a month (600-700 kms) I’m facing same issue and this time I’m not going to asc or regional manager.
I have tweeted about the issue and I hope I’ll get a call back.
Just do the same brother.
Demand for a replacement/refund for sure. However, they won’t provide refund. But Don’t let this matter pass. Atleast they can rectify it or replace it. We have to fight back for getting faulty ones.
Don’t trust those Asc people’s sugarcoated words. When Life Throws You A Curve..
