Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
General consensus that I have seen here is that the Pirellis are worth the money. Unfortunately only you would be able to tell if they worth the extra time. Try and push them for an earlier delivery or keep checking with other showrooms (if you havent asked all of them in your city yet).Originally posted by Sai Madhav View PostHi All,
I have got a quote of Rs.1,14,186 (On Road) for the RTR200 4V with carburetor and Pirelli tyres. Wait time for the same is about 20 to 30 days for delivery...
Rs.1,08,458 for carburetor with stock tyres and delivery in 3 to 10 days... My question is "Are the Pirelli tyres worth the money and wait"?...
Sadly the showroom I went to did not have a trial bike...
P.S. I am from Pune... Anyone here who has got the same can enlighten me?

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
You will have to get it done from outside mechanic. Svc will not do it. It is just plug and play type of lighting with all the wiring kit. You don't need to cut any original wiring. These lights should not be a problem as I am using it for more than 6 months now and they are not the brighter of all. There are more bright lights then this. Only the light angle setting should be on road properly and not upward to harm oncoming vehicles.Originally posted by dark_enforcer View PostIf you get the lamp yourself, do the SVC guys change it for you or do we have to get it done from elsewhere ourselves?
Also is changing the stock lamp for brighter alternative legal? I'm asking as some guys said it isn't allowed as it may be too bright for the other riders.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Guys, need some help.
Over the past few days the front end seems quite wobbly and loose over bumps. The smooth and rock solid nature of the front suspension seems to have disappeared and definitely something seems loose somewhere. 🤔
Further, while riding over a flyover two days ago, there was a very prominent and scary 'khat-khat' sound coming again from the front end. At first it was barely visible but it increased to a point (around 50kmph) that i had to stop and inspect as it was genuinely scary. Could not find anything odd so continued riding and the sound disappeared in the slow movement in city traffic.
Not to mention the ever existing screeching from the read disc at the time of moving on from standstill, this also disappears after approx 25kmph. SVC have always insisted it'll go away after a wash but never did in my 8 months of ownership :/
Any idea what could be the issues here?

Hi Bro,
Thanks for your quick reply...I have not contacted any more dealers in Pune... So don't know about their respective delivery status... One of my friend owns a TVS dealership in Pune but have not contacted him yet as I have to arrange for the finances... Should take me another 3 months to get the same sorted out...
Me just doing some light research before purchase...

If you are buying rtr for city riding then there would be no trouble with remora..Originally posted by Sai Madhav View PostHi All,

I used a 200v with pirelli for a week..(friend's) and later got a remora variant.
Practically in the city riding, I'll prefer remora over pirelli as they are wearing real quick remora has a stif compound and ideal for in city roads..
You'll notice the major difference when you take extremely sharp turns.
I've done 900kms on odo with remora so far, they never lost any grip in the city and have been performing very nice.
Touched 117km/h withiut any issues.Last edited by yasirmujtaba; 11-27-2017, 10:44 PM.

You cone set needs to be tightened or changed if worn out. But don't get it tightened too hard.Originally posted by ALI.R View PostGuys, need some help.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Hi, the quote they gave you is exactly the same they gave me a month ago. I bought the bike from PCMC dealer (Carb & stock remora tyres). It took 3 days for delivery.Originally posted by Sai Madhav View PostHi All,

The pirelli wait time, that too with matte red, was a month. I asked around (friends) that if the pirelli's are worth, but almost all of them told me to go for stock tyres. Our daily use isn't restricted to harsh turning & extreme wear. You should be fine with the remora as it's grip is fine & handling too is perfect. You honestly won't feel the difference, at least in the daily traffic & normal highway commuting. I personally think you can go for remora & use the extra cash for something else, like a fancy helmet & other gear to along with it!

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Hi, Yeah I live in Pune too. I got exactly the same quoted price and like you I also wanted Pirelli, but couldn't wait for a month. So I decided to go with stock tires only. The bike is now 150 KM old, it has been three weeks since the date of purchase and I'm loving it. Didn't get to ride it that much since it's still not yet Registered with PCMC RTO. So far no hiccups with the Stock tyres. Theu are actually good, but acc. to the info I could find on the Internet and here in Xbhp they wear off pretty fast.Originally posted by Sai Madhav View PostHi All,

You can go for the mrf masseter. And also how do you reach those speeds? I can hardly reach 135.Originally posted by vins1120 View PostAny ideas about new tyres as mine about to give at 15k and new tyres with speed rating above 150 as bike touches 145-147
So need better tyres now for grip
