Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
My bike throws me out of the seat on bumpy uneven roads is it due to stiffer setting or softer setting? I don't have any idea using stock adjustment.
On which direction you should move spanner to get softer adjustment on monoshock.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Does it happens normally after the bike wash or it is in general. Because for me whenever i spray wash the bike, my bike front brake is always spongy for about 2-3 days, rear is not a problem. After 2-3 days the brakes are back to normal. Cannot complain to anybody also as i dont think this is a bike problem. It can be the braking system quality problem. The water maybe getting sipped up somewhere in the brake line and once dried all would be normal. Next time when i will be changing the brake pads will check if any other company brake pads fit RTR 200 and will change the brake oil to DOT 4. Original is i think DOT 3. DOT 4 brake oil is much better that DOT 3 but never changed to DOT 4 as was servicing from TVS SVC so.Originally posted by hemnath View Postcan somebody help me on this problem with my bike.

The spongy feeling is happening regularly. say if it use the front brake on five occasions with a gap of 2 mins. i can feel the brake becomes spongy from the 6th braking. The next time i use the bike the brakes are responsive. and the same happens continues to happen after the 5 or 6 occasions

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Got my 200 a week ago. The manual says to keep it under 50kph for the first 750km for running in. Is this sufficient? Any comments on a better running in procedure?
After getting used to a Karizma, I find the 200 peppier, less spacious, and a little less refined. My wife says that the pillion is not too bad. It's not as good as a Karizma's but it's better than everything else except a Bullet.
Done 380km so far. Getting roughly 38-40kpl. Is this in the normal range?
Thanks in advance.Last edited by Shashi Warrier; 02-14-2018, 12:48 PM.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
does anyone know when the rtr200 abs model will reach showrooms. Seems like they launched it now to save face but it will come 2-3 months later
videos of the 200 fi variant were up on youtube within a week of its launch but not for the abs model

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Try getting the brakes serviced. Try changing the oil to DOT 4. Remove the previous oil completely and then pour the new one. Not required to go to SVC you can do it from out also. You just need to remove the old oil and then pump the brake lever so the oil from the brake line will come out and you can clean it. Once all the oil is out you can pour the new oil and close the oil lid. If you still feel less brake then there is one rubber cap on the brake system near the disc, open the cap and pump in the brake till you feel the brake power. try it.Originally posted by hemnath View PostThe spongy feeling is happening regularly. say if it use the front brake on five occasions with a gap of 2 mins. i can feel the brake becomes spongy from the 6th braking. Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Hey man....iam facing the same issue and its very annoying..its like a grinder at low speed...have u found the cause of the issue?Originally posted by AbiRam View PostHi guys I am facing a very peculiar problem with the bike, I get a grinding sound From the bike when decelerating like metal rubbing against plastic or something else. I checked with the svc guys and they simply say it's the chain sound but it isn't and I am very sure of it . I have asked them to check but they seem to pay not much attention to it. The sound is very much audible when moving slow or I can say decelerating, I can even sense some vibrations near the legs. The sound becomes in audible if I accelerate or may be it is subdued by the exhaust sound of the bike but no vibration while acceleration. Can you guys help, not really sure of to even describe that sound. Guys if you know the root cause for this problem or much better a solution for it please post in your comments.

I got it checked and it’s almost gone now. They had changed the front sprocket and also it was loose Tightened the same and checked the gear position sensor as well. Now it’s running well and there is no much sound. Kindly check the same with your service center guys
