Should I wait for pirellis or go with tvs remoras? Also the mechanic at SVC told me pirellis can be retrofitted and that wouldn't be an issue. I'm confused.. Need your suggestions..
Pirelli tyres are much gripper than remoras. But they also wear out easily and cost being on the higher side is also concerning. I've got the remoras and I think you can go for them. They haven't given me any trouble and I think saving 5k would be a good way to spend it on riding gears. Also you can buy chain lube and other bike accessories. Hope this helps.

RTR is more involving with a bit more feedback in nearly all departments, but it was a way too short a test ride to be able to understand its full potential. I have crossed the 250 off of my list and now have to decide between the RTR 180 ABS and 200. I am ok with the vibes which the smaller RTR's give out(I fall in the small category of people who actually like it except during long rides as it gives the feel of raw power). I know most of you will tell me outright the 200 since its newer and better in all aspects, but my 160 fits me like a glove and thats why i am considering the 180 along with the 200 and not because of the ABS alone. Is there wayy more fun, chuckability, grunt etc. compared to the 180?. Any and all opinions will help especially from previous 180 owners who upgraded to the 200.

P.S: A question To anyone from Kochi who owns an RTR: Are the SVCs good enough there to be able to peacefully own an Apache, since Apaches are a rarity in Kerala and I wonder if there are local garages that works well with RTR's.
RTR 200 if you want to avoid annoying vibrations post 80kmph on the 180. Looks better, better instrument console, more throtty exhaust, more refined engine and so on. Hope this helps.

It was the SVC guys who rode the bike and they have reached that speed. I gave my bike for repair to them and when I got it back I saw that top speed. They have rode it for almost 20 km.

Thanks. Have nearly decided on the 200. Purchase has been delayed for a few more months due to a few roadblocks and if i am lucky FI+ABS will be launched by then. Though after asking a few friends down in Kerala, RTR's aren't too common there and hence i doubt if i will get proper servicing especially if the bike is equipped with ABS and FI. The Fz25 is back on the list since Fz FI bikes are in plenty and in demand down there. But i am confused if I should go with a Mind over heart purchase for now. Hope it gets sorted out and i make a no regret decision in the coming months.

Apache 200 has speed sensor connected to the rear wheel. SVC guys would have gone full throttle on 5th gear after placing your bike on main stand which probably caused the wheel to spin till 160 kmph.

Yes, Pirellis can be installed later on, that shouldn't be a problem per se. What I'd suggest you is, get the Remora for now, and trust me Remoras aren't like the old TVS Sri Chakra tires. The Srichakras are extremely hard compound. But Remoras more more or less like Michelin Sirac Street. You can always upgrade.

                      Any ideas on above.

Post service the front brake was acting weird with making noise and a bit of shudder when applied. So changed the brake pads and master cylinder rubber.

Will update on the same soon.

                      Bike has done 9.5k kms
Brake shudder or weaving/wobbling happening only when braking means we have warped disc rotor which causes the handlebar to wobble. Get your front end checked, also the bearings for any play.

Though others can chime in, I think polishing a matte would make blotchy areas. Ask any seasoned polishers, they'd be strictly against waxes, polishes (especially caranauba) based ones on a matte surface. The very reason for matte is to stop the reflection of the light. the very reason of polishes and waxes are to increase to the reflectiveness of the paint, so you're basically reversing the matte effect using these polishes and waxes on matte surface. Also matte paint uses different clear coat as opposed to the clear coat used for glossy ones..

Matte paints need special attention when compared to their glossy counterparts. I think, even excess pressure of scrubbing of getting off something stuck on a tank or body can cause patches and blotches in a matte paint. So, make sure you treat Matte paint with extra care.

                      Cheers!

                      The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

I am done with the first service and waiting to hit 1000kms on my ODO. Is that a good enough run in period?

I'm planning to go on a Karnataka bike tour next month.

Fz's biggest advantage is the torque which comes in at 6500rpm..
And its almost 2nm more than the rtr..
Flickability wise both bikes are almost the same..but Fz gives you a more controlled feeling coz of the handlebar(personal experience)..
But anyday fz is faster due to more power and torque and Fi..
Will be interesting to see how the rtr fi performs..that might give a tough fight to the fz..
In your opinion will the Fz 25 be as involving to ride as the RTR with a proper break in?. Were you able to ride it to its full potential after the break in?. If so, your inputs

                                Good Evening Folks 🙏
One query.... Actually, I clocked 85 kmph as high speed. And quite frequently, i am clocking in and around 50 to 75 kmph, tat too at fewer times. Currently odo is at 560 kms. I am done with the first service.
So, clocking frequently 50 to 70 will be advisable or not. Does this make harm to my machine/engine?? Additional, suggestions are welcome.

                                Thanks in advance.
