What makes you to think that they will come up with a bunch of varients after two year, when they say coming soon in launch time... RTR 160 and Akula is also coming. There production line itself very weak. so I have no hopes that RTR 200 will come up with bunch varients...

        Hello Friends,

I am getting weird sound from the engine & shown to the SVC of TVS.
SVC said they need to open the engine to check as the sound is coming from the engine area near to spark plug.

So now can I demand a replacement of the engine with a new one? As my bike is 8 months old & I don't want to use a bike whose engine is opened within a short span of time.

        Looking forward to your response.

          Guys , one question,

I have gone through entire thread. I read few of you have upgraded the rear tyre size to 140/70 section which has a bigger outer dia compared to the stock 130/70.
If iam not wrong the RTR 200 has speed sensor at the rear wheel. In that case upsizing the rear tyre will result in speedo error. Did anybody notice this?

There is a little speedo error. My bike has 140 section and does 70 kmph at 5000 rpm.

It was around 72 kmph if I remember correctly.

Engine Replacement is too far a thing.
Please check your warranty if an engine replacement can be done. Moreover opening the engine is not like altering any of its components, may be you can ask them to open the Cylinder head for an inspection and service the part. Don't be bogged down by the thought of opening the engine, it is completely safe. May be you can stay there and look at what is done if your worried that they will replace any of the items in it.

As per the SVC guy Camshaft was faulty so because of that I was getting a weird sound from the engine block. So they have ordered a new one & will get it with in 7 days.

Also, My front Disk pad is worn out so it needs to be changed It will cost me around 450 rs.

Thanks, Even I need to replace my brake pads. My brakes have become too soft and needs a lot more pull or push of the levers.

Hi guys , I have question regarding the engine oil. In my previous service the SVC had changed to normal oil rather than the synthetic oil. Now my bike grunts a lot more ( which I personally like) and starts to vibe at a lower rpm than usual, I am not sure if it's because of the oil change or something else. I have already done close to 700kms after the service and the next service is still another 1.5K kms or another 2 months. Suggest me if I need to change oil immediately or is it safe enough to manage till next service.

break lever rubber ness indicates air in hydraulic break system. plz remove the air .
mineral oil drain interval is less compred to synthetic oil , so drain the oil earlier than required .

I got the quotation for RTR 200 in chennai.

They have added Road Tax and incidental charges. Whether this is normal after the GST ? I though there wouldn't be any additional taxes.

Also i think i never paid incidental charges for my previous vehicle.
