Thanks for the DIY slopegatri. It is definitely interesting. I'll check if I can use the Nilight projector lenses available on Amazon.

Small update on my FZ25 (2017) at 25000 KM.
Usage has gone down drastically. Just done around 500-600 kms since last year.
After 1 month, went out last week on bike and at one point it refused to start. Ignition on, but doesn't start. Battery was dead. Had to do push start (luckily it worked in first attempt).
Replaced the batter with new one yesterday and now all good. Old battery was showing 9v instead of 14v+.
.
Its been 2 years since I visited SVC. So, all the work is done by myself including regular servicing, chain replacement and brake pad replacement. No plans to visit in future too except planning to fix BS6 version hand guards. Fork seals had to be replaced at local mechanic as I did not had correct tools for one time job.
Bike is completely stock (played with LED indicators few year back and reverted to stock).
No problems till date.2007 - Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme

Hi burnoutdeeOriginally posted by burnoutdee View PostRe: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I have a Fazer 25, like you I also have similar feedback for this machine but my only gripe is that rattling noise after 5K RPM. I am ok with sound (as nobody has been able to get rid of it so far) but at least want to know what the F is rattling in there.
Can you please share steps to open front side fairing of fazer 25, I don't have owner manual and didn't find any Youtube videos on this topic. Opened the 3 nuts on front fairing with 4mm Allen key but the fairing won't come off.

This thread seems to have dried up of new posts, so thought of contributing one myself
In absence of owner manual and lack of any online tutorial or YouTube video found great difficulty in opening the fairing of fazer 25. But felt quite a feat when I was finally able to figure out myself after spending few hours with the bike. It turned out to be more difficult than opening the fairing of my other bike cbr250. I'm mentioning here the steps required to open the side fairing of fazer 25 which might be useful to someone in similar predicament.
Step1:
Top fairing:
Open the top fairing surrounding the speedometer display. It has 4 screws and 2 quick fasteners. After undoing the screws and fasteners, you have to pull / snap the top fairing gently. Remember this step is important before performing step 2.
Step 2:
Side fairing:
Open 3 outside screws ( 1st one is quite prominent, 2nd is at top, becomes visible after removing top fairing and 3rd is in the front beside led panels ) and 3 inside screws which are behind the side fairing. Pull / snap the side fairing out gently.
Rest of the fairing ( front light and display panel ) becomes easier to open / unmount once top and side fairing are opened.

Hi everyone,
1. I Have recently bought a FZS-25. I wanted to know if any of you have tried to install the "Yamaha smart connect X" module on the FZ25. I read that this can be retro-fitted on any recent FZ-16. Does it also work fine for the FZ25? The showroom has no idea on the compatibility of the same.
Any comments on if this is worth installing if it is compatible are welcome.
2. I also wanted to know of anyone else in the forum find the rear view mirrors on FZS25 too small. I am finding that they have smaller field of vision than my previous rides. Can someone help me with alternatives to replace same. Or would you say I will soon get used to it?
3. I also wanted to know if it worth buying the USB charger accessory from yamaha showroom(costed 750rs). I have already bought the same along with teh bike, but the showroom guys have been telling that they are not aware how to install same and asking me to come back a week later as they first have to learn how to install same (visited 4 times, but the same answer everytime). Now it feels like I might have to install it myself, So I am considering installing after market unit (with phone holder) for half the cost and return the original in unopened packaging. Would that be safe and advisable?
This is my first post on XBHP, so any suggestions on how to/not to post are welcomeLast edited by Phoenix_13; 11-19-2021, 03:00 AM.
