And also guys why the radiator fan never stops after a ride when the bike is in Neutral. I waited for almost 10mins after reaching home, but the fan never stopped.

There is not need to wait for the fan to stop, you can switch off the bike whenever you want. In fact when you are standstill there womt be any air flow to cool the engine hence the fans switch on, but when you are riding with no traffic then there will be constant airflow which cools the engine. Hence in highways at cruising speeds fan wont turn on.Originally posted by Gowdaman View PostAnd also guys why the radiator fan never stops after a ride when the bike is in Neutral. The only way to cool the engine when standstill is just switch off the engine, if it's on then the temp wont come down and the fan has to switch on to cool it.

Get the radiator relay checked, faced similar issue 5 years back on my 200.
Thanks

That is negligible, as long as the bike was safe and sound.Originally posted by Gowdaman View PostI booked in mettupalayam bro. They said the bine came from trichy to coimbatore showroom..and they drove the bike from coimbatore to mettupalayam...odo has clocked 27kms.
The purpose of the radiator fan is to cool the fluid in the radiator when the bike is not in motion or too less air flow is provided to the radiator. In such cases, the radiator fan may come on for lesser than one to two mins and turn off by itself. If the fan is not switching off, there can be two reasons, one is too low radiator fluid in the bike, and secondly you have a faulty fan relay/coolant temperature sensor. The fan relay is what tells the fan to turn off and switch on depending on the signal it receives from the ECM. A faulty relay would mean, once the fan is on, it won't switch off and the fan will be continuously on, unless the ignition is turned off. Also, being a new bike, the will tend to heat up more than normal, so the fan can sometimes stay longer.Originally posted by Gowdaman View PostAnd also guys why the radiator fan never stops after a ride when the bike is in Neutral. Too low radiator fluid too can cause the same issue and throw "High Coolant Temperature" warning on your dashboard. So, make sure your radiator coolant is filled up properly, and keep track of the radiator fan working and switching off. If it's switching on and switching off normally, you're okay, but if your fan only switches on and doesn't turn off for a long period of time, either your relay or coolant temperature sensor is faulty, get them checked
Cheers!

The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Thanks for this long reply dude...Yesterday I faced a similar situation but the fan stopped exactly after 7mins...and in other situation the fan stopped in 2mins itself..Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostThat is negligible, as long as the bike was safe and sound.

Means, your system is fine, don't worry about it.Originally posted by Gowdaman View PostThanks for this long reply dude...Yesterday I faced a similar situation but the fan stopped exactly after 7mins...and in other situation the fan stopped in 2mins itself..
Yes, that's normal. Duke's exhaust start fading due to the repeated heating and cooling process of the end pipe, and mind you, they get EXTREMELY EXTREMELY HOT, which is is why the metal changes color. Don't worry about the petty issues, start enjoying your bike..Originally posted by Gowdaman View PostAnd guys does the exhaust from engine look like this?
Cheers!
