Guys, I'm facing a problem with my BS6 D390. The bike feels very jerky in the lower gear and feels as if the power is just lacking. I went to the svc and got the sprocket changed to the Duke 250's to reduce the bad low-end problem in the bike but that just makes the bike automatically turn off while in the 2nd or 3rd gear. I'm confused now as to what to do. Is there a problem with the throttle mapping? Should I get the software updated (which the svc did last time)?
Also, the console just throws up "Low Oil Pressure" warning randomly. I have checked the levels manually and the oil level's okay. The svc says that the issue will rectify itself.
Someone face the same problem? Kindly assist :/Last edited by Siddhanth Paul; 02-04-2021, 09:39 AM.

Not normal, its probably a software bug. Get the software updated from SVC. Get the TFT replaced under warranty if the issue not resolved.Originally posted by Eshan-P180 View PostRe: 2017 Duke 390 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Experiencing some flickering on the speedo console, esp in the dark mode. Is this normal or needs replacement?

Eshan, Dont use slip-on. They are of no use apart from producing sound. And eventually you will get bored with that. Stock is best for all kind of riding. I am saying it because I have been in your place and went with an aftermarket slip-on a year back. Didn't found anything good about it apart from the sound.Originally posted by Eshan-P180 View PostRe: 2017 Duke 390 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Anyone using a Slip-on for a 2019 D390? This is my 2nd D390 and I'm sort off bored with the same purr purr.
Need suggestions on which one to go for. I'm not in the mood to try those Akras and Austin which cost a bomb. Anything substitute will do.

This is only intermittent due to supply chain issues, its not a cost cutting! Thats why there is no official press release from KTM. They would switch it back once the supply chain resumes to normal for the Metz tyre.Originally posted by Mandar64 View PostThats sad cost cutting by KTM
My friend was looking for a both tyres to be changed on his 2015 RC390 Metz M5's H rated last week, we contacted official Metzler distributor for Bangalore!
As per him the last shipment they got was in early January 2020(Metzeler have a central tracking system for their dealers), after that they've not got a single supply to ENTIRE INDIA(meaning including Pune where KTM manufactures the 390's), they have no clue when they'll get the next batch!
Finally after asking around 5-8 shops in entire Bangalore, my friend finally ended up picking older Nov 2019 batch tyre from some left out stock from one shop.
Whatever is available in the shops/Flipkart/Amazon/TyreMarket etc etc are older stocks mostly Nov 2019, Dec 2019 and some as old as Aug 2019 ones!
Also due to shortage of supply, tyre price has inflated so much, for the same tyre which normally costed around ₹5500-6500 last year, now they are asking anywhere close to ₹8000!Last edited by kiran2508; 11-13-2020, 11:26 PM.

Re: 2017 Duke 390 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Not actually cost cutting. From what I've been told, Metz were imported tyres which came via China. After all the political tensions between the countries, imports from China were affected and hence it became very difficult to source them.Originally posted by Mandar64 View PostThats sad cost cutting by KTM

Okay...[emoji3063] but will they change it under warranty...??[emoji51]Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostYup, this happens when "durt" gets accumulated within the rings and when the suspension compresses, the durt acts as an abrasive and starts grinding causing circular ring of rust and paint peel. You can't help it, you can either get it changed under warranty or try to forget and live with it. It won't cause a problem per se.
Cheers!
