Re: 2017 Duke 390 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Most single horn setup can handle twin horn, if will draw more amp, sometimes blow a fuse or worse load the horn switch and make it renderless in the future, hence using a relay means your horn switch stays good, doesn't overheat and give up. It will work, but you get peace of mind using a relay, and in future if you plan to upgrade to a higher amp draw horn, the relay will be extremely helpful which is exactly the reason why I mentioned you to use a relay on one of my earlier postsOriginally posted by abhichotu.abhi View PostI got the dual horn of Pulsar installed today. The horn directly fits Duke 390 without any need for relay. I also got mobile holder with charger installed. The mobile holder is of local brand (RAM Mount type design). Does anybody has any experience with this local mobile holder charger, how good the charger works when its raining.
Cheers!

Thanks for the feedback, Yep ive connected on whatsapp with them and they said the same about shipping.Originally posted by kiran2508 View PostI believe Rolon is the OEM suppliers for KTM, just they package it as KTM and increase the price by ₹500-800
The Rolon black chain is same as the stock KTM chain, no difference there. The black have the same part number Rolon "HXR 199" as on the stock KTM one.
I've got feedback on https://lrlmotors.com/ and have good reviews, my friend recently ordered EBC brake pads and RCB master cylinder from there, their delivery and packing was spot on and pricing was also very competitive.
You can source from there.
Just know that in advance due to this lockdown shipping and delivery might delayed a bit.

Re: 2017 Duke 390 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Can you please share the details via PM, I have been looking for good deal as I have to replace the chain soonOriginally posted by puspal View PostI am using Rolon Brass plated / Golden chain for more than a year. Brass chain is any day better than the normal once. But the price you have quoted is on a higher side for both the chains. Service centres will always sell stock chains in higher price, so avoid purchasing from there. Try to find a Rolon company person in Delhi and get a good deal. I got my brass plated chain for Rs, 2600 one year back from a Rolon company guy.

2600 is too cheap compared to current price. If you could share the contact via PM. I'd try to make it work, maybe that guy know Delhi contact person.

My duke 390 has done 9864km. And the mechanic said chain is done its life. It would last for another 300-500 km since there is no long rides these days.
The stock one has always worked for me for 10-12k km only. (More wheelies and drama in Duke so life reduced from 12k to 10k I guess.)
So, the stock set costs around 3k at svc.
And I've always thought of trying the Rolon set but something always happened and I never did.
Rolon is

Ktm SVC uses Motul full synthetic.Originally posted by abhichotu.abhi View PostSo far I have used only KTM SC oil, Dont know what they use. Does engine oil additive make any difference in the smoothness and overall NVH.
How are the Liqui Moly or Castrol Power 1 or Valvoline Fully Synthetic? Has anybody used these oils on their machines.
Also, I have asked this question previously but asking it again, Can we use Dual Horn of Pulsar in our Dukes without a relay?
Castrol, valvoline and other brands stands nowhere to Motul and will give you bad experience in KTM. I can say "don't even try".
You can try LiquiMoly but don't bother as it won't be much difference + requires more work and tension than staying with stock Motul. So stick with Motul.
As mentioned by Blackthorn. Observe engine, hear and.things going harder. At what kilometer do they feel hard after service.
I ride insane, like always doing insane acceleration, wheelies and obviously insane braking, redlining first gear or any. But still the engine oil works for me service to service which is 7500km.
I'm using double horn in RC390 & Duke390 both without any relay.
If you use relay that makes it proof. If you don't add it, well it wont burn wire.
Yes Pulsar 220 horn sounds amazing.
You can also grab another horn that you have and patch it up. Check Apache RR310's horn, sound sweeter ans almost same louder like Pulsar 220.

Re: 2017 Duke 390 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Oil degradation symptoms can vary from bike to bike and rider to rider and the way he rides. What I would suggest is keep a maximum KM of 2.5k and calculate the threshold for you based on engine vibrations, gear shifts and what not, this will yield a clearer picture for you. Secondly, you can use a dual horn, a relay is recommended.Originally posted by abhichotu.abhi View PostI ride sedately, very rarely do I accelerate or decelerate suddenly. What is average lifespan after which the oil starts degrading?

There's no magic bullet oil for the 390. All oils performance degrades after a certain set of kms, especially the way the bike is ridden, all affect engine oil life parameters.

KTM will not have a refined engine for many of the reasons. The Motul company is using is good I feel. You can try changing the oil a bit earlier if you're riding hard, that'll help a bit.
