Duke 390 :Originally posted by Ajay Vishwanath View Post
Aerodynamic is one thing I know. But the power being produced at higher bands than ktm. Interesting. The KTM website doesn't have any detailed specs as to what's the torque, and when are the peak bhp & torque produced by the engine.

Power : 42.9 PS @ 9000rpm
Torque: 37NM @ 7000rpm
Yamaha R3:
Power : 42PS @ 10750rpm
Torque : 29.6NM @ 9000rpm
It is evident the R3 is more of upper mid end to top end performer.

Yes, it can be done. Google top box for Duke 390 and you'll get plenty of results. There are a few fabricators who do, especially in Bangalore,Originally posted by Dodge_Viper View PostAnyone has tried fitting any kind of luggage box (Givi etc) at the rear? How easy is it to install such thing?
perhaps.

I guess you are just pulling my legs or I guess you just didn't understood the post, either ways let me clear it for you. Piggyback RD ECU have been both in the limelight for both good and bad reasons. They had quite a few hiccups early with the mapping earlier on. Another reason you can get in touch with these folks are they are very helpful in finding the right map for you, even a custom map can be done provided if you really know what you want, those guys are really helpful when it comes to warranty, when it comes to questions about performance, dyno charts, maps available, all these questions can be directly shot at them, considering the testing they would have done on their test mules, and performance data.Originally posted by Ajay Vishwanath View PostOne who took the jump & actually is using it??
Indeed, it's a great to ask for suggestions with users who've bought the box, but if you can directly ask a person who's tested it a zillion times before giving it to the public, he can answer them more clearly than just the biker next door can answer. I hope it's clear for you now
Cheers!

Re: 2017 Duke 390 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I absolutely get that. Technical questions & numbers - I'll surely ask the pros. No one better than them to answer that. What I'm saying is that as a user, I spent 18K, now, do I feel that the gains hat I get spending 18K on this product, is it worth it?? I mean I get it. The powertronics guys will absolutely say that it's worth it coz it's their product. It's like asking ktm for a review of their Duke, if that's the case, we wouldn't be having this ownership thread. Let's all ask KTM how their bike performs and simply take it. But no. I'm spending. A bomb of money. So I'll ask others for reviews who currently use it. Now the folks who currently use it say "well the bike is great except. EXCEPT, that the headlight goes off for a couple of seconds, ecu resets, blah blah, which KTM won't tell you. KTM will say that it's a niggle free bike!!! I hope you're getting what I'm trying to get at.Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostI guess you are just pulling my legs or I guess you just didn't understood the post, either ways let me clear it for you. I'll surely have a word with the powertronics folks when it's technical. BUT when it's user experience, I'll be happy to talk to someone who is actually using it.
No I'm not pulling your leg. I just don't see any 17 D390 running it. Nothing on YouTube, or any forums to get user experience information. It's all the older D390.

I'd suggest you stay clear of the powertronics ECU for now until some reviews pop up.Originally posted by Ajay Vishwanath View PostI absolutely get that. Yes I guess. Just picked up a AS200 shield. Got to retro-fit it. Hope that helps with the windblast.Originally posted by chip94 View PostI'd suggest you stay clear of the powertronics ECU for now until some reviews pop up.

ktm is huge evil corporation that pays xbhp and other news outlets to give bad reviews to other bikes while praising theirs. you cant trust them. haha.Originally posted by Ajay Vishwanath View PostI absolutely get that. but seriously powertronic looks to be a small humble company made of passionate people.
simply talking to them should give you idea of what to except. i use high end audio products like hps. i generally trust manufacturers word over audiophile reviews. cause they are knowledgable and know what they are talking about. not all manufacturers are evil and not to be trusted.

Re: 2017 Duke 390 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Guys went searching to Karol Bagh for two solution, but could not get many answers
1 was wanting to install the studds top box but could not get it done because the mech could not find any way to install the metal bracket to for the top box, wanted to fix the top box so that could ride with pillion and without the pillion getting worried about falling back, the mech said he could do in on the old Duke but new Duke could not be done that way
2 wanted to fix some kind of think so that could mount the side back boot could not find anyone ready to do anything, one fabricator wanted full day to design something, finally went to khanchi and he helped fix a half ladakh carrier, it's little tacky but is all could be done,
Requesting members if people can help with fixing of a saddle bag and a top box so that I could ride with pillionmain aur meri motorcycle, aksar yeh batein kartey hain....

have you considered saddle bags instead of hard saddles & tank bag instead of the top box?Originally posted by oldman View PostGuys went searching to Karol Bagh for two solution, but could not get many answers
