Me and my cousin(he owns a 200NS) both are going to use motul on next service. N u r right about mileage keeping her below 5k rpm is healthy for now and mileage. 👍👍
Motul is really better but three times the price of castrol. I opt it when iam rich [emoji12].

Can anybody please clear my doubt....?

Does the oil cooler get input from the oil pump or from the oil filter? The service center guy told that the oil is pumped to filter & then passed to cooler. But his reply is not satisfactory, because one end of the pipe (right side pipe) is landed at bottom of sump, and the other end of the pipe (left side pipe) is landed near the oil filter removal cap. If the filtered oil is cooled, then why did they land one end of the pipe at oil filter removal cap? it does confuse a lot. And if i am right, Oil from the sump is pumped to the cooler (and a small quantity directly to the filter) and landed at the oil filter chamber for filtering, then the filtered oil moves for lubrication as in usual process. Or else the design of oil galleries would be so complex.

Service guy was right,in oil cooling it reaches a radiator fixed outside from a centrifugal filter, cooled and then circulated back to the engine.

But basically what happens is pump pushes oil to heatsink or radiator than it comes down get filtered and circulates again

And it lands near filter because pipes running through radiator is smaller in diameter so slug particles can accumulate there easily so to filter tham out it lands near filter

If it is the case, it would create a un needed loop to make the design very complex. I tried searching the internet for the way as the service engineer told. But couldn't find anything.

                          Re: Pulsar NS 160

Does the engine oil flow through the cooler to the oil filter or in reverse direction ? I want to know how does it work.

This is what i believe in and feels logical also but the service center guy told very opposite. And since this is a new model, there is no working explanation. Little confused because we cant just believe what it is said....
