Re: Pulsar NS 160
Bajaj usually doesn't mention them in the manual - have things changed? Only Honda does.Originally posted by Shashank K R View PostTry to upload a video of the sprocket issue while the bike is on the centre stand.

Also, how easy is NS160 for DIYs? For tappet adjustment, he has to pull apart half the bike
(just like 200NS), I think.

It might be given on a sticker on the chassis, not sure. Otherwise he'll have to get the workshop manual somehow.Originally posted by ashwanth.r View PostBajaj usually doesn't mention them in the manual - have things changed? Only Honda does.

DIYs will be hard just like the NS/RS/Dominar.

Re: Pulsar NS 160
It is better to take it to the service center,Originally posted by mortal monk View PostI will take it to SC because I'm sure either sprocket has some bend or something is wrong with it.
Do ur bike makes tappat noice when it gets hot a sound of kit kit kit..??
than messing it up. Regarding your question about the noise, There is an additional noise in the engine after a long run. When i asked the service engineer, he told that all the bajaj bikes in current generation has that. It is not a problem.Xplore the inside, Love it, Ride it & Enjoy...

Re: Pulsar NS 160
What is the maximum speed that you tried on your NS ? I did upto 112Kms today morning, because of strong wind couldn't hold on to that too much or push further. The bike doesn't express any stress or made any big noise. Really powerful and smooth even at 9000+ RPM. Thinking about your opinion ("choosing gixxer instead of NS160"), i really was bit worried, but what made you feel so with a new bike ? Is there any other problems that you face ???Xplore the inside, Love it, Ride it & Enjoy...

Re: Pulsar NS 160
I have never read a bad review about NS160. The first entry in this category would not be a bad one from bajaj. It is not the very best bike, but one of the best. It was less in numbers on the road, but increasing day by day.Xplore the inside, Love it, Ride it & Enjoy...

Re: Pulsar NS 160
Removed the "dummy cover" yesterday.
Its presence did have small benefits but it was covering some main areas (To my eyes). Now the engine head & the oil cooler is completely exposed to air. Additionally the right side spark plug, two inner holes near the beginning of exhaust pipe, the oil cooler pipe lines all gets more exposed. I believe it to make positive changes & am watching it closely. Will update the result after some days....Xplore the inside, Love it, Ride it & Enjoy...

Re: Pulsar NS 160
Hope you got a new NS160, if yes, i welcome you to the NS family. When did you get your bike and how much have distance have you taken it ?
It is a repetition, but the most important on every bikes. First of all NS160 has a very smooth engine, keep it very well and enjoy the companion. Complete the running in period in a smooth manner. Never ever rev your engine hard. Complete your first service before 500 kms. Use Xtra premium petrol if available.Xplore the inside, Love it, Ride it & Enjoy...

(me a student) and me thought changing back tier with a fatter one does it do any good?...
