What do you feel about the rear suspension ? It is not a very soft one and not hard too. It really demands some load on it to work. It is now in soft + 1 position, the company set. I cannot feel the suspension working while travelling alone (i weight just 53kg). My wife says that the bike is hard while jumping humps and small pits. But when there is a heavy load (my friend - 75kg) in the back, the suspensions magic can be felt nicely. I thought of moving it to the softest position, but have read many reviews that it is not suitable for corner carving. What to do ? ๐๐ญ

Re: Pulsar NS 160
I think suspensions is on little stifer side coz I'm lightweight like u(55kg) but it's not to stiff and talking about cornering actually it is best out of its segment only Tyre size is not good for Cornering it doesn't helps to lean ur bike more but suspension is awesome for example
1. No immediate nose dive if u apply front brake hard
2.it doesn't gives u bobbles at high-speed
3.its not too soft so that u feel bump in ur back if u land in a pothole
I have not ridden hornet but in case of Gixxer it's better than gixxer

Re: Pulsar NS 160
It gives lot of confidence to corner hard and i do it always with love. It supports cornering very much better than old generation pulsar. And it is even better than gixxer and hornet. The thing is that if i adjust the suspension to the softest setting, will it affect the ability to corner ? Or if i move to soft + 2, will it bounce less ??? I am in confusion about adjusting it. Or else, should get a wrench from a local shop and give it a try my self in both the settings, And choose the best one....Originally posted by mortal monk View PostI think suspensions is on little stifer side coz I'm lightweight like u(55kg) but it's not to stiff and talking about cornering actually it is best out of its segment only Tyre size is not good for Cornering it doesn't helps to lean ur bike more but suspension is awesome for example

Re: Pulsar NS 160
making suspension soft increases stability around the corner and reduces precision means your trajectory will be little off balance on the other hand making suspension hard of stiff increases precision but stability is reduced so u might lose front end or rear wheel may spun out in case of acceleration while leaning and stiff suspension increases ride hight so will have more lean angle. preload must be adjusted according to riding style and weight it should be neither too soft nor too stiffOriginally posted by Riyas View PostIt gives lot of confidence to corner hard and i do it always with love. i will suggest u to leave setup as it is now because doesn't matters how experienced you are but to a new bike you are a new rider so first spend some time with the bike around the corners and learn how it behaves, get comfortable with it first than make adjustments, for example u are a aggressive rider in twisties but experienced than u will need a precise bike so make suspension stiff if are new too ur bike and not experienced around corners than leave setup at stock or if it feels stiff or less stable than make it little softer.

Re: Pulsar NS 160
I'm having a little issue with my bike while cleaning the chain I found out that my rear wheel sprocket has a little bobble and it produces a horizontal monent in chain of 5~cm clearly visible near chain slider, but the rear wheel doesn't have any wobble nither the alloy is bend ,I checked the chain slackness it fine too so do I need to concerned about it or is it normal..?

Re: Pulsar NS 160
Impossible....Originally posted by mortal monk View PostI mean there might be some bend in the rear sprocket due to which it bobbles while rotating
If the chain is tight or loose,
The sprocket will rub to one side of the inner chain (it doesn't stay in the center of the chain). Do you mean that ?Xplore the inside, Love it, Ride it & Enjoy...

Re: Pulsar NS 160
What r u talking about I don't get it. BTW don't know why I m getting a strange feeling that ns160 is not a reliable bike its going to give me hell lot if issues in future n I should have bought Gixxer..[emoji44]Originally posted by Riyas View PostAfter the second service the RPM needle vibrates highly past 7000 RPM. Re: Pulsar NS 160
The tachometer travels smoothly upto 7000RPM. But when at 7000 or above, it vibrates heavily.Originally posted by mortal monk View PostWhat r u talking about I don't get it.
